You're getting off topic, but it's such a softball I have to take a swing at it.
Here's what I'd call Democratic socialist: In a nutshell Democratic socialists believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically—to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few. Bascially the opposite of a corporate oligarchy.
Oh we came very close to losing our democracy with an ignorant autocrat wannabe. Over 74 million were ok with losing it, which is scary. Asking Barr to incarcerate political opponents and using the 'big lie' of voter fraud to overthrow an election, when it was the most secure election in our history according to the Aberrations own election security head Chris Krebbs. Straight out of the autocrats handbook.
Calling election officials to change the vote count in his favor. Inciting a violent insurrection. Come on. So much of our democracy is not etched in stone, but rather having people of integrity in place doing the right thing.
Hopefully the Aberration was a black swan event. But one major political party has gone kuku. We've always had a percentage of whack jobs, but this was the first time one got in the oval office.
But I digress. People don't want to hear this here in this thread. I spent the last year fighting with the Aberrations supporters. Sanity won, thank gawd.
