I played Sandpiper yesterday with a buddy. I didn't do very well. I had a few good drives, a few good iron shots, a couple nice chips, and a pair of good putts. Other than that, it was like I'd never played before. The front nine i carded a 61, I didn't bother adding up the back 9. I do know that i didn't even get a par yesterday, so......

Walked 18 this morning. Start was a bit cool then things warmed up nicely and finished in just a go,f shirt and under layer.

After hitting my driver very well last 5 outings, it was garbage today. Only 2 fairways hit and 3 greens. That has to be my lowest of the season and carded my worst score in over 500 rounds at my course. ( 90)

BUT, the post round beer was cold and tasty.

Off to Vegas for a few days, but should get another 10 rounds in at home before we close shop.

I shot 40-40-80 today at White Pines Golf Club in Swanton, Ohio. Windy and cold when we started, but it warmed
up to nearly 60 degrees by the time we finished......still windy though. My short game was just inconsistent enough
to keep me from breaking 80. 7 GIR / 32 putts / 5 of 11 Up&Downs. Hoping the weather holds out for another few weeks.

42, 40 at Bear Creek, HHI. Old CC style course with tiny greens. Had to play from 5700 yards, or SWMBO's tees (not happening). Proud of an 82 from that distance. LOTS of FW wood shots, 2 greens in regulation.

I'd have to move up to the SSr. tees, or quit if it weren't for my FW woods. Lot of mileage on those clubs since new.🤔

Ribs and shin are almost healed. I'm calling 80% at this point. Ribs now only hurt when I sneeze or cough. The shin is mostly scabbed. Got one stubborn spot on the middle that gets cleaned and dressed twice daily. Finishing the antibiotic tomorrow.

Shot 88 and 84 this weekend. Mainly not hitting the driver like I was. That said it was also cold and really windy and I am not a cold weather player. Walked 18 both days and did leaves after so I did get some good exercise.

Shot a 36-39-75 at a course nearby. Best round in awhile, have been scuffling with putting. Put my Dad's old soft putter into play and switched to a reverse overlap grip. Was getting as many as 42 putts a round and scoring 89 or so. Much better since the switch. 31 today.
Tried out the new hybrids I put together yesterday and they were a success.
Walked into the reeds on one hole and came out with 100 balls. Most were just sitting up on the reeds nice and clean. I quit because my back was hurting from all the bending down. I'd pick up 3 or 4 every time I bent down. It was weird.

Par 70 course so really not that good @ +6.
27 putts.....1 3 putt🤬.
Any missed FW was only by 2-3'. I'll take that on the tree lined course.
Still trying to figure if 'GIR' is a new common curse word, or something else.🤣

47, 43 today. Best ball striking 90 I ever shot. Could not chip and putt worth a damn, but I striped every fairway and my get-close-to-the-greens shots were on target. Up and down game was absent........and I forgot to take the Amazon balls.

I shot 39-37-76 today at Detwiler Park Golf Course in Toledo. I didn't chip or putt all that well (again! 😡), but
I hit a lot of greens, and made a couple of birdies that I usually can't count on, so that helped! Could be the last
round for our Tuesday group, since they're talking about snow fluries Monday and cold, windy temps the rest of
the week..... 10 GIR / 33 putts / 2 birdies.

Played 27 today....game is still off but kept it in play had 11 up and downs and 13 total 1 putts over the 27 holes which helped
38/41 then played the front again and shot a 37

80 at Tarpon Springs. No birdies. 60 degrees when we went out at 7:07 and low 70’s when we finished. Winter rates now. $50.00 with the Paradise Card. 👎

$50.00 with a cart and again with the Paradise Card. I’ve never seen the screwballs you have on any course I’ve played in Florida in the 23 years we’ve been here. They wouldn’t be allowed on the property.

$50.00 is actually on the lower side of the other courses we regularly play. Timber Greens is $62.00. Fox Hollow is $55.00, but after Christmas Fox Hollow will go up to $87.00. Come January until April golf becomes a very expensive.

We’re down to once a week anyway. But again, Covid was a boon to golf which allowed the courses to raise the rates. Life for the avid golfer here was better before Covid.

WTH? 58*, 20 mph wind that made the temp feel worse when the sun went in.

Missed so many birdie putts I wanted to puke. Esp. on 18 from 10' +/- for an under Par round. Did have 2 birdies though.
Lots of GIRs today which led to more putts(30) for my game.

Might be the last round what with the highs of low 30s coming this weekend. Next weekend is showing low 60s, but courses may be closed by then. Some are now.
