Bizzaro golf session today.
Rained/stormed early a.m., ending around 7:30. Tee time at 11:20 and called the course about conditions....90*, some holes CP only.
My brother was lamenting the length/slope of the senior tees last night and overnight those figures were extended. Course would play very long, from any tee box. Never played a course that was so wet. But the greens were the fastest I've ever putted on....had several 3 putts today. Aeration took place the 1st week of Sept. and you could still see the marks, so apparently they have been rolling them, not needing to be cut. Uphill putts would fly past by 10' on some!
Never seen so many 7s & 8s on a scorecard in my life!!🤣migawd. And we had discussed the possibility of maybe 100 would be a great score. It was, but I did get under, while he did not(given he was playing a set of my clubs, not his own).
OTOH, that lil shitass Jake shot +3, 75.
This made me appreciate what I see when I watch the PGA tour. They really cannot be stopped & it matters not where any tee ball might land. That would include a 10' topper off the tee that still turns into a birdie putt.
Sun came out on the last hole, of course. Otherwise, wet AF, windy, very cloudy day......but fun as hell!! Me and bro are going out again tomorrow....different/easier/shorter course.
