Went to the simulator place last night with the wife and daughter.
Golf: My daughter struggled, but hasn't touched a club in probably close to a year. Hit a few good ones. Moving on.
I hit the ball decently. Drove it well, hit a bunch of fairways, was playing up(Apparently. We stopped and stared over a few times. I realized she was playing from the same tees I was, then I realized I was playing from the whites so I drove into a few bunkers off the tee that I shouldn't have been able to reach.). So, as far as score I have no idea. I made one birdie and a bunch of pars. The only bogies I made came from 3 putting which..............on a simulator, when they give you the putt...........from 8 feet..........Moving on.
The place is nice. The big thing is it is big. They have that going for them. I've been to a bunch of these places that try to cram it into too small a space and it sucks. This place is very spacious. Very big simulator bays, good seating. Very long large bar. Overall great. Well done. Top notch simulators to. Absolutely no complaints. Plus they also do other sports, soccer, baseball, etc.
However, this is obviously a place opened by a couple of golf geeks that said. "Hey, we should open a sim. place that's also a sports bar with food."
No bueno. You need to have bar-resturant people say "Hey, we should open a bar-resturant with this menu, plan and we'll put in simulators to attract the golf crowd.
Service was slow to non existent. Food was bad. Expensive. I told them, the place is amazing for the simulators, but for the sports bar..........you need to do better.
I signed up for league play. We'll see how it goes.
