Snuck out for 9 ar the local muni this morning and hit the ball really well. It was a true links challenge, with the wind blowing 20-30 mph.
I hit 6 of 7 fairways and 7 of 9 greens. Couldn't buy a putt, and 3-putted 7 from maybe 25 feet and finished with 37.
The driver was especially good. Pulled one on five but the others were all solid and long. Drive on 9 was maybe the longest i've ever hit there; left me 64 yards to the flag.
Irons were solid, too. Only hit one a little bit fat, off the tee on the par-3 6th, which led to one of my bogeys. Every other iron shot I hit all day was hit well, straight and with predictable yardages. I feel like I might have been able to go low if the wind hadn't been howling.
Golf is really fun when you strike the ball well.
