Played in a fund-raising scramble today at a gorgeous, exclusive club on the waterfront (inlets) in Virginia Beach. Really difficult course, slope 132.
Perfect day. Temps in the low 70s, blue skies. My first time hitting a ball in ovee a month.
Overall, we sucked. I hit some really good shots, though and made four putts of between 25 and 38 feet, like I always do. The last one got us second place in the second flight, which was good for $100 gift certificate. Got a nice golf shirt and a sleeve of balls.
I hit a gorgeous drive on our final hole, about 245, slight fade to follow the dogleg, and smack dab in the middle of the fairway.
Overall, way better than a day at work.
