I played the back 9 at a course in northeastern NC called Eagle Creek. Today my swing was good. Rhythm felt good, shots were mostly crisp and on target.
Shot 38. Hit a couple of mulligans on uncommitted approach shots because it was slow, anyway, and made birdie on both of them. My mulligan approach on 18 ended two feet from the hole.
It was windy all the way around, one- to two-club or so, but I largely picked the right clubs both into and with the wind.
My one really good look at birdie (without a mulligan) was a downhill 9-footer. I underestimated the break and missed it on the low side.
Overall, though, a satisfying round of golf. 😁
