Well, today, I can actually say that I shot like crap. Then again, I went with those friends I was helping earlier today. One of whom has never golfed before. He sent me a text saying that he did have a good time, so that is great.
After that, I learned that one of the guys I really enjoy golfing with is leaving on Monday to travel to Oklahoma for a couple of days then coming back for a day or three. Then he is off to golf his way to Wyoming, via Texas and who knows where else, for a few surgeries. He said he would be back come winter. He was looking for one more round with someone, so I said I'm in. We played 9 and about halfway through I quit keeping my score. He looked at me and said that he quit keeping score, but he felt he was ahead by 50, my response was nope, you're losing by 20, but don't worry you don't owe me any money. He's a disabled Air Force vet, with warped sense of humor, and just a great guy to golf with. I'm gonna miss that asshole, until he gets back... He has always been willing to play, and has a great time. He'll give you a ration of crap, and expect you to dish it back out to him. He has made the course a funner place than it already was. Funny thing is that he intimidated me until I got to play that first round with him in the group. Then I realized how much of a great guy he was.
