I'm in Lexington, KY with my wife for a few days assisting my daughter and SIL after she had a c-section this morning. (It's a healthy boy!) My SIL and I played a couple of rounds already and he insists we play tees about 6450-6550 since he's a former small-college player and still kills the ball. It's too much for this geezer. In my last round I'm thinking this is one of my best rounds of the year - and my score was going to be in the upper 80s. After we finished, he said he had a lot of fun but I replied that it wasn't fun for for me. He observed me hit fairway after fairway all day about 220 yards and I was still 40 yards behind him off the tee. He's then hitting approach shots with mid to short irons and I'm hitting fairway woods, my hybrid 3, or long irons on a lot of holes. And we are about the same handicap so I'm not getting strokes. So, I'll impress on him its OK to use different tees and we can each enjoy playing and it'll be fine.
