How did you shoot today at Golf
Shot 48-41 today, after some time off for our daughter's wedding and a little vacation. The front nine was full of crappy chipping and putting, but I turned that around on the back 9.
DonM What's happened to all of our golfers here? Where is everybody?
I'm still playing but I figured no one wanted to read about my scores in the 90's.
I played today, very warm day for late October. Low 70's when we teed off, mid 80's when we finished. 20+ mph winds with gusts to 35. We may have reached a record high.
I had gone to the range Friday and I thought I had figured something out. But except for my tee shot on one, it didn't come to the course with me, three lost balls on the first three holes. But I stuck with it and ended up shooting 50/43 without any more lost balls (except for one lost in the leaves). If I had putted better (too many 3 putts and a 4 putt) I could have been in the 80's. That's golf.
Got out for a quick 9 today. No score because I played mulligans and practice shots on several holes, but I do have some highlights.
On the third hole, a par three over a lake and a bunker, I nearly made a hole in one. It looked like it might go in, as lt landed slightly right of the hole and was moving left. Ended up about ten inches short. Easy tap-in birdie.
On 7 I hit an approach shot to about three feet, but the putt broke harder than I thought and I missed it. On 9 I had a 5-6 footer for birdie; because I had under-read the break on 7, I read it as breaking about two inches left. It broke one, so I missed that one, too.
I did make an 18-footer for birdie on the first hole.
I saved my best brag for last: on the 9th hole I bombed a drive (for me). I lasered it at 259 yards from one of the tee markers, 262 from the other. I turn 66 in three weeks. This was at sea level.

Beast mode!!
They all count....whether sea level or mountain top. If it's long (personal standard)...it's long.
Total meltdown today, 49-43-92. Only hit 2 Fws on the front and 0 greens. Putted pretty well,29 putts. One birdie.
40 42 today. Made 26 quota points (1 short). Paid out $2.
Got in 9 holes. Shot 30. The good putting with the Tyne continues. I’m starting to wonder if it’s me but too afraid to switch putters.
Hit it like crap off the tee. Yesterday I was killing it at the range, today, got the lefts. I did go back to the Qi10 from the g400 max. The Qi10 is long… my Mishits are where good g400 max drives are . Only difference is I’m mishitting everything . Case in point one hole is 350. A good one with the G400max leaves me 75 yards. Today I hit a decent one, not great… just passable and I was semi happy because it’s was in the fairway… I had 30 yards left to the flag.
Typhoon Once you get your PSA down you'll be back.

Got out to Heron's Ridge for 18 today. Doubled the first hole from 97 yards out and the middle of the fairway. Four over after three holes, but ended up with 41 on the front with a birdie at 6. Back side was so-so... missed some putts i would normally make. Ended up with 42, for an 83.
The course was beautiful and in good shape.
Nice, Fall day here. The incorrect weather prognosticators said rain off and on all day, of which we got maybe a couple sprinkles that wouldn't make a bowl of flour wet so the course was pretty quiet. Left my gig at the dealership at 1, home, walk dog, change, grab sticks and teed off by 2pm, played the front in 50 mins. Caught a 2-some on 10 ( knew them well ) was let through on 11 tee. Smooth sailing until caught another 2-some that i am friends with at 16green. 4-some ahead of them, played 17 and 18 as a 3some.....I finished in 2 hrs and 4 minutes. 42/40 from the blues at 6600. A couple triples, one double, one birdie ......game is slowly coming back
I shot 38-37-75 today at Detwiler Park in Toledo, Oh. High winds again today (20 mph), but not quite as bad as
they were last week. Still warm here….77*…..but I think today is the last day for it. More seasonal temps on he way
(mid to low 60’s the rest of the week). 1 birdie, 12 GIR, 34 putts.
The beginning of the end....
**Beginning Monday November 11th thru the rest of the golf season
No Tee Times will be accepted. First Come First Served Only.
Please call ahead to make sure the courses are open.
We do not have a closing date set yet, but will most likely be mid-November.
Thank you!**
Can decide if I am happy or pissed about today's round. I'm going with pissed just due to the waste of a great ball striking day.
Fairways hit: 14/14
GIRs: 16
Putts: 36. Made 1 putt over 4 feet.
Sparky GIRs can make you look like a really bad putter some days.
It's a not so great short game that makes you the bad putter. Or, perhaps from having to hit greens from too far out, and just cannot get them close.
But you surely did shoot close to Par.
BTW...it is a game called 'golf'.
Tomorrow may be worse yet.
I was supposed to play today but yesterday part of the course was underwater. We had more than 6" of rain from Sunday through Tuesday.
