Got in 9 after a 3 week layoff. came in -4. Driver was meh, took out the SLDR for once and ballooned a few, hit 2 good ones. Irons were not great again until I figured out my left elbow was not pointed at the target. Birdies both par 5's and made a couple 8 footers for birdies on a par 3 and a par 4.

DonM I go out alot of times with a 7 iron from our lost and found. I'll just do the front 9. Usually anywhere from -1 to +1. I hear about it for weeks....

Typhoon Sometimes we go out after lunch and play a 7i match for a few holes. No one scores that well though lol.

DonM Done this a few times way back when I was playing often. Once just a putter--of course i was just 17 then, cheap old putter from my first set.

And people come in telling us what great condition the course is in…. So do they not know what good is? Where the f*ck else are they playing ??

Yes, this is a tee box.

Walterjn so, why hasn't the grounds crew closed that tee box and reseed it??

All the tee boxes other than #1 look like that. There is seed… but they don’t water and they put the markers where the seed is so it’ll never grow

Just got in, decided to play 18 instead of 9. Temps in the mid 90’s so the course was empty. Shot -9. Missed a 10 footer on the last hole for birdie, thought it’d break, didn’t. Went back and tried again, it was straight…. Damn!!!!! That would have been -10😔

Hit every green, irons were decent, getting better. Hitting the driver longer than I can remember.

Called off our usual Tuesday travel group today b/c of storms this morning. Finally got out later though with #1 son who took me to the cleaners, 82 to my 84 at Detwiler GC in Toledo. My back continues to bother me when I play, typically tightening up on the back 9. Aside from getting to play with my son, today's 41-43-84 round was not too much fun.....3 GIR's, 32 putts, 1 D.bogey, 0 birdies. Maybe I'll try riding next time.....

Had to walk 18 since carts weren't allowed out due to storms. It was hot and muggy when I went out at noon. Virtually had the course to myself. Tons of water on the course making you walk way out of the way to get to a ball right in the middle of the fairway. Played pretty good, finished in 2:45. Got tired at the end finishing double-double which hurt. Shot 83.

Typhoon what the f is wrong with them??
We've has an entire tee box closed off and move the tee markers to the other box.

Walterjn Dude, I was sitting there at the bar today with a grounds crew guy and the 2 other pros and I said that exactly!!

They said they sprayed last month. I said it needed to be sprayed in April, June is too late. I don’t even work on the grounds crew🙄. I told them I hadn’t been out in 2!weeks and couldn’t believe how bad the tee boxes were. They agreed. But again, theses dunces move the markers to where the seed and sand mix is instead of where there is grass. Or like I said, close the tee boxes and put the tees either in front or off to the side it all the way back.

First round in a week and only the second this month.
Shot 44- 40 = 84, with 4 doubles, 31 putts, 8 fairways, and 7 GIR. Hit the ball well. Had 4 very big wedge chunks, something I rarely do. This can and will be corrected. Just a matter of deacceleration and not attacking.

38 persimmon woods and blade irons. Impact around 60%. Enjoyable walk for 9 as humidity dropped.

Ended with a boom yesterday....18 is a reachable par 5 .....Driver to 208 out, hit a nice high cut 4w to about 10 feet and drained the putt for an eagle to get me to 1 over ⛳

44 in league last night and the losing streak continues. I am killing the ball, but getting myself in trouble driving it through doglegs and flying greens. I am cranking the Rogue ST Max; no idea why I ordered the Ai Smoke.
