Typhoon Tee shots were ok, did hit 2 bombs to places I hadn’t been in a while or ever. Irons were either high right or a little flip. Not the ballflight I’m looking for still.

Hmmmm - sounds like a minor body release/turn coordination with arm speed/swing issue. 🏌

I shot 37-40-77 today at White Pines Golf Club in Swanton, Ohio. Today was the first time I've played
halfway decent in most of the areas of the game so far this season. Hit 6 GIR's, 29 putts and two birdies....hope it continues!!

    😂😂😂😂

Basically I had no F’ing idea what was wrong.

Went to the range this afternoon for a couple hours. Much better. Driver needed to not come inside so fast and not closed. Almost a Fred couples backswing feeling. Irons was more of a timing issue. You know how you know the feel you want and it’s a matter of time before you hit one and say, “that was it”. That happened and I was able to know what it was.

Shot 42 in league. Butchered 2 holes trying to match my opponent. We won our matches and all 3 points to win the first half. Cash prize!

sdandrea1 Played that once, Thought this was/is the course that closed and your former community/house there was built to support? Clearly not. Remembered the course was narrow

Well, another day of abysmal putting, shot an 86 and had 41 putts again. 6 three putts and a 4 putt. No yips just could not for the life of me read breaks and speed control was was off ...blew everything by.......so frustrating because the driver was amazing, only missed 3 fw over the two days.....ended T13 but even average putting would have gotten me top 3.....oh well such is golf. Another event next week at a course with notoriously fast, and challenging greens....oh joy

82 at Tarpon Springs. Everything was a little off today, but was still able to hustle my ball around the course pretty well.

My wife and I got out today. She played great 42-44-86. I played pretty well also, especially the front nine, 39-42-81.
I actually putted side saddle today. I've actually been putting pretty good for me, low 30's but the last two rounds were bad so the last few holes the other day I putted side saddle just as a joke. Can't say I really made anything but my second putt was always a 6 incher so I thought...maybe?
So I gave it a try today using a standard putter that in no way is made for face on putting. I was pretty good on the front nine with 16 putts. I had two 3 putts but one was completely from a bad read and nothing to do with the side saddle. Had 0 putts on the 9th as I putted in from the fringe. Again, I really didn't make anything other than on 9 but I was close every time with mostly 6" 2nd putts. Back 9 was a little more erratic even though I had the same 16 putts. Makes me really want to give side saddle another go with a putter that is actually made for face on but every side saddle putter out there is too expensive for an experiment.

Back nine twice but NOT CPO for a change. The front nine might reopen sometime next week. Hot but not that humid. Iced towels and a breeze helped a lot.

79 with 9 greens and 33 putts. One birdie, one double. Everything was pretty average.

Played 18 today after the gym. Shot -5. Hit it a little better than the other day. Pm grinds were better on full shots than the high toes but a couple up and down chances were blown because of worn grooves. The g400 max kept me on play but that’s about all I can say. Irons were better but still not great. Thinking it’s an alignment issue. I’ll hit the range tomorrow and see. Probably left 4 shots out there easy.

Played 9 on Lackland AFB early afternoon today with a couple younger active duty NCOs who are in my class…temp hit 100 by the 7th hole…glad we quit after 9 as I was beginning to overheat…managed to still shoot a 45 with this mismatched set of rental junk with clubs missing…

The purple 3 wood is women’s model…Kirkland 56* wedge performed the best out of the bunch 😜

Pic was taken before we teed off on #1…yes I returned the clubs cleaner than I received them 🙄

Heck, those aren't bad at all.......one pro I worked for in the summers filled out his "rental sets" with junk out of the Lost and Found department. A typical "set" would have a Wilson Sam Snead laminated driver, a Spalding Jerry Barber 3 iron, a Kroyden 5 iron, a Ram Tommy Bolt 7 iron, a Northwestern Chi-Chi Rodriguez 9 iron, and a Putt-Putt. blade putter. This god-awful arrangement rented for $10 bucks back in those days, LOL!!!!

Typhoon Played 18 today after the gym. Shot -5.

Even the best golfers in the world don't break par every round, but you do. 🤔 Is your course that easy? What's the length and course / slope rating? Most New England courses have some woods and are not wide open.

You say you hit bad / errant shots, but still are always well under par, even for 9 holes. 😯 Must be the easiest course around. Either that or you should be on some kind of Tour. lol

VigilanteTrail I got my first hole in one using a rental set. Usually if I go somewhere I call ahead about rental sets …. Hate dragging my clubs on the plane. And I play the same with rentals🙄

Sneakylong It’s not a tour quality course with 500 yard par 4’s. It’s tight but not long. As I’ve said before I’ve shot par with a 7 iron, 56 degree and putter.

The par 5’ are reachable in 2 with an iron other than the 17th which is 575 yards. It’s tight but you also don’t need driver all the time… you just need to play smart. Our 10 th hole for instance i drivable at 300-320 but tighter than a Nun’s coach. There is a creek as well, at 170. Lay up to the creek and an easy approach but 90% of the people whip out driver and make 8. There is some water but nothing crazy.. I don’t make big mistakes or panic…. Been shooting these scores for years.

Landon is still pissed at me…
