Typhoon Yes exactly the same with me being even par and you being 4 under j/k me being even par thru our first 5 is about 4-5 under my average score. It's too bad I started playing aggressive on 7 and 8 and butchered those 2 holes. I know I've got a good round in me if I can get out of my own way.
How did you shoot today at Golf
We got 7 holes in today before lightning ended the round. It's the first time I played in more than three weeks (we were in Ireland) so it was a little rough. Hopefully next week will be better.
77 at Tarpon Springs. Had one birdie. Had an eagle putt after smoking my 3 wood 205 pin high to 10 feet. Missed the putt. First out at 6:55 and were cruising until hole #14 where we ran into a single walking and playing more than one ball.
He knew we were behind him and still played more than one ball. We waited on this numbskull the rest of the way. Still got done in 3 hours, but this idiot was annoying us by making us wait.
Reported him to the starter and he was pissed that he did that and was going to look into it.
Shot a 43 in league play tonight. Three 3 putts on furry greens, otherwise striking everything pretty well. The guy I played against has a tempo like Fred Couples. Really is helpful to watch it. He shoots a 38 and made three 20- 30 footers.

Sneakylong People are just assholes. Thatās your āI paid my money I own the course and will do what I wantā attitude.
We had a beautiful day today. Low 80s and low humidity. North breeze, which I like because it helps get close to 3 of the par fives. I got right next to two of them.
I shot 36-39. 11 greens and 32 putts. 2 birdies, no doubles. The greens were just aerated and top dressed. So they are much softer than our normal ass-kick firmness. Approach shots actually held today. It wonāt last long.

DonM Still, thatās a brute.
Agreedā¦but at least I didnāt yearn for my chainsaw to be in the bag today like I do many other rounds
Sat.: 41/36....77.
Course was super packed, as I expected, with Mother's Day being Sunday and people 'needing' to get in a round. Long wait on every shot. Paired up with a couple and it was not pretty, for the front 9. They left after 9 so it was much better on the back, as score reflects. Nothing special, did have 1 birdie on the back but that was offset by a lone bogey. Putts were(again) low, but never hit many GIRs. I did hit about 12 FWs though with the Epic Max LS. Irons of the day were the SMT 579.
And the wind....have I ever mentioned it before? I'd like to choke the meteorologists that call it 'a blustery day'!!
Sun.: 39/39....78.
Almost felt like I had the course to myself, which was also expected. I took my sweetassed time and still got around in just over 2 hours!! Irons were the MacGregor VIP. Drivers were Darkspeed LS and Paradym X. Both are fantastic clubs. ( but something's gotta give) A ton of FWs hit again. Low putts also.
I used a new putter both days, as suggested by @Typhoon. He suggested I try something different to see if that $500+ putter was actually causing the low putts/round.(I never said it was, btw)
I'll snap a pic after awhile and post for your viewing pleasure. Simply put........mouth watering.......
Typhoon Still had more than anyone's share of 1 putts the last 2 rounds using this putter.
Got it from Salvation Army store about 23 yrs. ago.......for the tidy sum of $1. Changed out the shaft and grip to my liking and played it for a couple seasons. I take it out occasionally just for shits/giggles.
Shot 77 & 78 using it this weekend having a ton of 1 putts again in 27 & 28 totals putts. I miss so many GIRs that it is easy to have low total putts. Just sayin'.

80 at Timber Greens. Had one birdie. Because of the drought the county has cut back on the reclaimed water. My development had very little reclaimed water a week or so ago.
Timber Greens is down to just using 60,000 gallons of reclaimed. They normally use 90,000 gallons on the greens alone. So we had to stay off the fairways with the carts. The fairways a burnt. Greens were fine though.
Reminds me of a Ping B60 sort ofā¦
VigilanteTrail I've tried thru the years to grab 1 of those, but the prices were/are always way too high for what they are. I gave up since I had this one anyway.
Terrible finish. Hit a great drive on 14 after a beautiful par on 13. Get to my ball, look at the hole and two course maintenance guys were sitting on a tractor 3 yards off the back of the green directly behind the pin. Totally broke my concentration and I never regained it. Finished with a 56 and barely broke 100 after starting with 42.
Didn't have any clubs with me today and was done with work shit early. Guy texted me that he was going out. I met him at our course, I grabbed 2 range balls out of the bucket, an old Zebra putter with loose weights from 1977 and 2 clubs from the Lost and Found... a Jaws 56 degree and a Cobra LTDX 7 iron ( which was awful... I hate GI Irons).
Shot even par.
