Shot 91 in the senior league. Two birdies but carded a 9 on a par 4. One of the birdies got me a $52 skin, which was nice since I finished 2 strokes out of the money.

I had 3 very unnecessary strokes. First, I one-handed a 6 inch tap in putt that somehow lipped out. Second, I had a 2-stroke penalty for hitting another guy's ball by mistake. We were playing the same exact ball (although mine was marked). He hit his second shot from well left of the fairway, and I didn't see that it ended up near mine in the right rough near the green. When I came upon his ball mine wasn't visible sitting down in the rough about 15 feet away. I glanced at his and assumed it was mine. Dumb mistake.

I played today. The only reason I kept it under 90 was that we saw lightning on the 15th hole and quit. That's all I'm going say since I intend to forget this round.

I’m glad I’ve never done either of those!
    Yeah right. 😑

      😆

Shot a 49 last night. Felt a twinge in my back, struggled all night. Could not hit a drive (had two with me). Slices and lost balls adding strokes. Was able to hit irons better and putter is working well for me. Hopefully, my injury is short lived.

Had the last two days off. Played 36 yesterday and 18 this morning in some tough conditions at Brown Co., a good quality muni....all the golfers before us did not show up so we were first off at 730 and had the place to ourself. Played very well. Stats for the round👇

11/14 fairways - hit driver on 13 holes and 3h on 1 hole. First cut on one miss. And narrow misses on the other two, one pace in the left rough and three places in the right rough.

      12/18 greens
6/6 up and down opportunities, although 4 of the 6 were fringe or fairway just short of green. The other two were in the rough within 3 or 4 places to the green and what I would consider reasonable opportunities to get up and down...both to kick in distance, in fact almost made them both?

28 putts. Greens roll true and are quick.

Good clean fun. 3some walking in 3 hours!

DonM lol...I don't report as almost all are "practice" rounds....as occasionally extra shots are hit, putts, chips, etc. although today that didn't happen as I was dead tired from the 36 yesterday and a few beers post round🙃. The intent was to play another 18, but my buddy and I agreed it wasn't happening. The wind was howling worse in the afternoon!

DonM Can we figure it out??......🤔

        12/18 greens
        6/6 up and down opportunities
        28 putts

        -4 to +4???
I was terrible at math, btw.

ode Great stats! Are you still smashing that Wishon driving iron, or is that club ancient history by now? 🙂

MidwayJ thanks. Re: Wishon 590 DIH, it is ancient history, at least.one of them is, sold the head, still have the other one. Those babies were/are hot!

Pretty basic set up for me these days, and I do still have a driving iron style at the 5i slot!

            D - 10.5*
            4w - 16.5*
            3h - 19*
            4h - 22*
            5di - 26*
            7-GW 32* - 48*
            SW - 56*

There is a small gap from 5 - 7 but it's maybe 1/2 club, same.from 48* to stand alone SW 56* but the GW is easy enough to back off some. Back to the STi2 from the KE4 Max which is a great head, but the STi2 are much easier to flight and like the sole a bit better/turf interaction. Also I could not elevate the 30* 7i for it to have enough use.....possible it was off spec and lower than stated, but 🤔....I stopped fighting it. The 32* STi2 7i gets plenty of height. Getting.into geezer territory🙃

              Par4QC

LoL....I was wondering if it could be figured out but I think so.....as it leaves 12 holes and 22 putts......if one.assumes that the 6 up and downs were for par🙃

ode I left it dependent on Par for the course. 70, 71 or 72. Thus the -4 to +4.

Didn't know 'up & downs' could be anything other than Pars.🤔

Right now with Maltby irons and wedges I'm at 44/48/52/56. I could ditch the 48* easier than the 52. I played for a long time with a gap between 45* PW and 52. I'm still trying to figure out when to use the 48. 🙂

rsvman2 I think they generally mean 'up & down' to be for Par.
But 'on & in' doesn't mean anything at all. Except you finished the hole. Finally.😄

Par4QC that's how I've always used it, BUT I dunno if that's technically correct as one can get up and down for any score. Ive heard announcers say/use it for scores other than par.
