Got my butt kicked with an 88. I didn’t count putts but it was 40+. Driving and approaches were pretty good. I couldn’t get the ball to the hole and I was playing safe on approach shots so I had a lot of long putts. CPO and hilly terrain made for a 5 hour round. It’s rare to have a level lie here.

The course played long and I think tomorrow the captain is going to switch us to the silver tees.

77 at Timber Greens. Had two birdies. We were paired with a single this morning. Turns out we had played together before. He’s going to join us on Mondays. First out this morning. Went around in 3:15.

For the last few rounds I got my 84 year old buddy to move up to the shortest tee at 4119. The tees are painted blue. So he can tell people he plays off the blues. lol Today he shot an 88 (47-41). Had 5 pars on the back.

The difference is now he has a decent chance of hitting greens in regulation. Whenever we get paired with someone he lets his ego get in the way and says he’ll play the reds. But I drive the cart, so he’s forced to check his ego at the door and play the blues. lol

Played 9… felt like I shot 100. Shot even par but hit it awful. Didn’t hit one good shot. Went to the range afterwards. Gonna play tomorrow, was thinking of 18 but I’ll probably just do 9 and get some work done. Hitting the Stealth 2 with a regular flex shaft. One more day of that and I’m going to take out the G400max again for comparison.

Back to reality. Played 18 today at The Gauntlet. My VA PB Dye-abolical home track. Two weeks of rust results in an 86, but I usually don't break 80 here. 2 doubles and a triple in there. Good times tho. Beats the hell out of dealing with moving. The Paradym X still rules.

Another so-so round.....40-42-82 at Bedford Hills, straddling the state line between Ohio and Michigan, with about half the course in each state. Maybe the fastest greens I've ever played, and on the front 9 at least, the pin positions were impossibly tough.....right near the edges and tucked behind traps, making chipping and putting very difficult. Hit 6 GIR and 35 putts.

fatshot No....it's not as bad as it appears. I think that picture is a little bit distorted.....probably taken with a drone. The green is elevated about 10-15 feet above the fairway, but relatively flat. They do have one on their third nine which is RIDICULOUS that way, so we seldom play it....!!!!

Played 18, shot -4. Was only going to play 9 but one of the members would have been playing the back 9 by herself and today is her birthday. So I kept going and paid for the beers. Brought the G400max with me as well as the Stealth 2. Our 9th is a big carry to get over a Brook. I took out the Ping and cleared it, even caught it a bit low. The TM the last few times I don’t think made it. Irons are getting there… swing is still not solid. Hit 14 greens… usually it’s 16-18. Couple irons where I was sliding, not staying over it and turning and hit a little fat.

Going over it today in my head… yeah, gotta fix the irons, didn’t seem as bad as the other day because I was getting up and down I guess. But the front 9 I was in 3 traps… I’m never in sand. Got it up and down each time though. So I only hit 12 greens but had 25 putts. Moving off the ball and not getting off my back foot.

Played the Cortez course today. Not as hilly, and not CPO today. We played longer tees again though. I shot 81 including 5 over on the last 5 holes. The heat and humidity got to me.
On a 165 yard par 3 that was all carry over a lake, into the wind, I hit a smooth 5 wood to 3 feet and a birdie. 😀

Our team played great. I was the C player. We use the best net 3 scores on each hole, with a new game every six holes, plus the total 18. Our score for 18 was 196, which is equivalent to net 65.3 per “person”. We’ll find out the results at dinner.

Shot 41 in league. I'd normally be happy with that but I started with 5 pars. I did win my match though and we are still in first place.

Typhoon Yes exactly the same with me being even par and you being 4 under 😡 j/k me being even par thru our first 5 is about 4-5 under my average score. It's too bad I started playing aggressive on 7 and 8 and butchered those 2 holes. I know I've got a good round in me if I can get out of my own way.

We got 7 holes in today before lightning ended the round. It's the first time I played in more than three weeks (we were in Ireland) so it was a little rough. Hopefully next week will be better.

77 at Tarpon Springs. Had one birdie. Had an eagle putt after smoking my 3 wood 205 pin high to 10 feet. Missed the putt. First out at 6:55 and were cruising until hole #14 where we ran into a single walking and playing more than one ball.

He knew we were behind him and still played more than one ball. We waited on this numbskull the rest of the way. Still got done in 3 hours, but this idiot was annoying us by making us wait. 🤬

Reported him to the starter and he was pissed that he did that and was going to look into it.
