garyt1957 how's that new Eleven hybrid? #7 wasn't it?

First I had the 8, then I bought a 7. I loved the 8, but the 7 is too flat, believe it or not. Anyway I figured out a setup problem that was hurting my irons, and now I'm hitting my irons a lot better. So no need for the 8 hybrid right now.

I played in a geezer scramble today. It was the MGA event this week. A NET scramble, which I have never heard of. I don't know how they calculated the strokes but we had 11 of them. We had 7 birdies and 1 bogey for 66 gross, 55 net. We won. So now I can no longer say I've never been on a winning scramble team! 😃

Our D player had a lot of old infomercial clubs. He had 4 Square Strike clubs, and a couple iRT-5 hybrids which I had never heard of.

Do you find these hit higher than irons? My buddy who’s 84 can’t elevate his irons anymore. I told him about the Eleven hybrids.

Played the slumpbuster course near me AND moved up a tee because I wanted to hit more short irons. It's only rated 68.4/111 from there. Shot 37-41-78. Got tired on the back because I hit a million balls besides the one I was playing. Had about 21/2 sets of clubs with me. Didn't hurt -anything which was a plus as last time I was swinging so bad I hurt my knee, back and wrist!
10 Fw , 7GIRs, nothing special but a light at the end of the tunnel. My only irons next round will only be wedges.

I realized that yesterday was maybe my best driving day ever. And being a scramble, I was swinging 100 percent. This is not supposed to be the way.

I think it was more about a different mental approach to the shots.

The idea that there are no real consequences when hitting a bad shot in a scramble is freeing.

garyt1957 That must be it. I was in the zone. Every drive was 90th percentile or better. That’s nerdy, but it’s the best way to describe them. There has to be a way to get there again.

DonM Have you tried recreational drugs? Not completely joking, I suffer from the same problem and wonder if that helps?

I suggest reading, believing and trying to implement Bob Rotella’s books ( his philosophy).
Get out of your own way basically. 👍

              sdandrea1 7 clubs in the bag. Driver, 4h, 6h, 9i, W, SW, putter.

Backed off to give them a chance. 🥴

KCee I tried CBD for tournaments to see if it would relax me. Jury is out. I think it might have helped a bit.

DonM Tell yourself you have a mulligan in your pocket every time you tee it up?

Seymore101 Coyote Springs is a beautiful course in the middle of nowhere. Excellent Nicklaus design, but tough. I have never been in so many bunkers.
17 putts is crazy. I have that for nine often
