Still waiting for some magic to kick in. After a 3 putt on #1 for bogey, rolled in a tricky birdie on #3, and was cruising along until shanking an 8i on #5. I then went on quite a funk for 4 holes where 1 shot each hole was a complete mess. Made an adjustment on #10 tee which worked, 7/7 FW and 7 greens on back. Of course, no putts went in. +4 on the day, and I butchered the 4 simple Par 5s, +3 on those total when I average -1 on those 4.
How did you shoot today at Golf

80 at Tarpon Springs. No birdies. Windy this morning. Had a storm come thru yesterday so it was cart path only. We were first off at 7:00. Sunrise wasn’t until 7:16.
So we couldn’t follow our tee shots. First drive ended up on the left. Had ~ 175 in and hit my 5 wood. Couldn’t see that one either. Got up near the green and there it was ~ 15 feet past the hole.
Probably should play in the dark more often.
Second round of match play. I lost 4&3.
I had to give a stroke on 3 holes and they all cost me. I played a hair better than average but my opponent played one stroke better, before the strokes. He is a good putter, and he plays to his handicap in big net events. Last year he was runner up in this event.
I was +8 for 15 holes with 6 greens and 26 putts. Once it goes through the USGA black box, I think it will post as the equivalent of an 82. We had some rough pin placements. I never once had a good birdie look.

. Another slow start
sdandrea1 You sold the place, hit from the duck land out back into the pond???
87 at my home course. Cold and crazy windy but it was poor chipping and putting that killed me.

Monthly scramble today. Turns out I was 1 of 3 subs and the only original member was the A player. This guy was a wiry, fit, athletic 60-something (no it wasn't @Typhoon-he's taller than John and he's in Florida) who could bomb it. We Eagled our first par 4 after he drove the green (305y). We got to -9 and our team handicap was 6.2
Waiting to see how we did, but not optimistic. Fun day. I got my 2drive minimum in quickly, made a few approaches that led to birdies and sunk my fair share of putts.
Edit- we won Low Gross! $22 each!
79 at Timber Greens. Had one birdie. The 5 wood and 9 iron were the stars today. Had the place to ourselves this morning because they were having the club championship later. Another nice cool dry morning.
