How did you shoot today at Golf
Started out on a very crisp 8am tee time. But it was a nice day for December.
82 with only 5 GIR. 29 putts using my normal putter, not the armlock. Including missing a couple of six footers. My full swing was pretty crappy throughout the bag. The short game was pretty good though. I’m trying a more aggressive short game stroke that should work better on soggy Bermuda grass. It does, but I have to get confident with the more forceful strokes. Weight more forward, some shaft lean, and steeper into the ball. As compared to a shallow, bouncy stroke. Not playing the ball back, necessarily.
Shot an 85 this weekend. My ballstriking was good enough to shoot an 80 or less, but not my short game. Some of it was definitely the slow aerated greens that I 3-putted 4 times
That was definitely the last full round at my course as they are closing the back 9 and putting temp greens on the front until Spring. If I don't play again it was nice to finish hitting the ball that well. All I tried to do was take the club back slower and square and then start the downswing with my body rather than my arms. I drove the ball farther than usual and I did it in 45* weather with an OnCore Elixr that I usually find a bit shorter hitting. If I do remember this feeling of course it won't work next year
75 at Heritage Harbor. Had 4 birdies. My buddy shot a 78 and had 2 birdies. We had a birdie fest. lol Just two of us this morning and we went around in a little over 3 hours.
4 birdies is crazy talk! Nice shooting!
50 degree day here in CT. Walked 9 holes on a wet golf course that still has lots of leaves. I have not played outside in a few weeks, shot a 42, with one birdie. Short game has some rust on it but overall very pleased with my ball striking.

Sneakylong Had 4 birdies.
Nice shooting!
Shot 48/40 at Tangle Ridge, Grand Prairie, TX. Rough start with a triple on #1 and another on #5. Couldn't hit a solid iron shot until my first GIR on the par 3 9th, which I 3-putted.
The back 9 was like a reboot with 4 GIR and nothing higher than a bogey. The greens were fast like most courses here lately, as the grass is becoming dormant.
Same score as yesterday, 82. But completely different. This time my swing was fine but I couldn’t get up and down and couldn’t putt. 10 GIR and 36 putts, not even including fringe putts. I missed a putt inside of 2 feet. Gah! I was +6 after 4 holes and then only +4 on the last 14. Birdied the tough 18th.
KCee I agree. I don't mind not playing for a couple of months, but I hate when I have to go 4-5 months not playing.
I always liked the break because I could focus on just hitting balls, or working on speed without the worry of it affecting my game the next day. Now… I don’t play at all and don’t miss it one bit.
