Solid front nine of even par 36 ( bogey 7 , birdie 9)
Was -1 after 12 sitting pretty in the fairway and made double , then another double on 16. Both when my cut 7iron didn't cut and went long left.
Ended with a 4/over 76 so a good day

It wasn't a beautiful day in Missouri. Overcast and occasional spitting rain until the last hole where it was actually raining. Temps were in the 70's so that was good.
As well as I putted last week, today was the opposite, two three putts in the first three holes and the two putt was after starting on the fringe so it felt like three putts. I was doing okay until the 10th hole when the wheels came off for 4 holes, I couldn't do anything. But I figured it out and played decent the last 5 holes. 47/49. 11/14 FW, 37 putts.
Shot 93 in the senior golf league, which thanks to my handicap was good enough for 4th place in my flight. It was a mixed bag. A birdie #18 won me a $155 skin (only two skins so we split the pot). I've had great luck with skins the last 2 weeks. Three triple bogeys ruined what began as a nice round over the first 8 holes.
We had 8 guys go out from work this afternoon. It was 85 here in central PA - probably the last gasp of summer. We had a 2 team match (4 per team) going. Basically everyone played their own ball the whole time but we calculated 2 man and 4 man best balls for front, back, and total and each person had a one on one match play for front, back, total. We played off the lowest guyโs HC (6) so at a 24 myself, I got a stroke every hole. The other guys ranged from a 9 to 19 so they got less. A bit too complex and exotic for my taste but Iโm told we won.
I shot 113 overall but it was a bogey and snowman kind of day. Mixed in a par on each 9. My driving was insane. I played with the 6 HC who is regarded as a bomber and I out did him by 15-20 most holes. I pushed one drive right and OB and one found the creek at 295 but everything else was playable and long. I hit the new Adams 18* VERY well. 220-230ish. I canโt see myself using a 3W much. I was magic out of the sand. My Ping Glide 3.0 Eye2 grind is a cheat code. Got two gimmes out of green side bunkers. I can also flop that thing really well and had some great ones from tough spots today.
Everything else was
(see 113 above!). My irons were thin city! I had an 8 and a 7 on par 3s. My putting was also mostly rubbish. Greens were lightning and I had no feel for anything over 15 feet. Either smashed it waaay past or left it waaaaay short. I need to learn to lag!
I shot 82 (40/42) today with no birdies and 2 double bogeys.
29 putts
12 fairways
6 GIR.
I shot 40-38-78 today at the old home course, Chippewa Golf Club in Curtice, OH. Missed every makeable putt on the front nine, but made EVERYTHING on the back nine! Hit only 5 GIR, no birdies, 6/10 up and down, 30 putts.
84 at Tarpon Springs. Had one birdie. Irons continue to suck. Driver and wedges continue to shine. Everything else in between is fine except the 7, 8 and 9 iron. They just refuse to cooperate.
Snuck out for 9 on a cloudy, rainy day. Have a skins game Saturday so wanted to get some swings in. Boy did I! Ended up playing 36 holes! (In 3 hours). Got poured on a bit, majority of the time it was quite nice. Shot 40-40-80 and 41-41-82, consistent I guess. Only missed one FW on the first round. One birdie on the day. Hdcp dropped to 11.6
First time hitting a ball yesterday after 12 weeks off due to receiving a pacemaker.
Bogey or slightly better golf until 3 consecutive birdies on the back nine. Putts of 5 , 15, and 1.5 feet. A new course to us so all were due to lucky guesses on yardage, a lucky guess on a blind driving hole and a fortunate kick toward the pin on a sloping green.
44-39= 83 for my 70th birthday round.
Been scoring + - 90 all season.
I want to extend my sincere thanks to my driver for showing up yesterday.
Sneakylong Everything else in between is fine except the 7, 8 and 9 iron. They just refuse to cooperate.
I'd start with the top of the bag and replace everything.......
Played in a skins game today. We played from 6200 yards which is a bit out of my comfort zone. I birdied the first hole for a skin. Won one other one surprisingly with a par. Probably shot about 85. Fun day and format except it was in the 40's and windy. It was 85 two days ago. Ahh... michigan
Oh and somehow I developed a slice. I haven't sliced in 20 years. I might hit the occasional push fade but these were starting in the left rough and ending in the right rough. Screw golf
Didn't play today. Thought about tomorrow's 8:37 tee time.
Gonna dress in layers.
Got in the bag what most Midwesterners kmow what to do.
Dress and enjoy or reget.
In cool and windy conditions I shot an 83 (41/42) with 32 putts, 10 fairways and 4 GIR and 1 double bogey and no birdies. For the most part I struggled mightily with my irons and hybrids and had trouble reaching greens and feel fortunate to score as well as I did.
Decided to go play at 3pm.....not sure if that was a good idea 50 degrees, a 3 club wind and a few showers.....WTF, might as well play the tips as well at 7300 yards. Good start with 3 pars and only +1 after 7 but bogeyed the 468 yard par 4 8th hole and tripled the 9th for a 41 front. Back went okay but went 4 over on the 3 par 5's , 2 at 575 and one at 605 yards and made a quad on the 478 yard par 4 18th which was playing dead into the wind, took 4 to get out of the greenside bunker.
Final score 86
Played in scramble yesterday to help a friend out. Best driving round I've had in a while. My irons were decent and I was throwing darts into wet greens with wedges.
Was fun to hit the ball solid again and we did finish second despite our so so putting.
Teed off this morning at about 8:30, temperature at 38. Started on the tougher back nine and managed to gut out a 46. Ball was going 20 to 30 yards per shot less due to the cold.
Shot 41 on the front with 1 birdie. 13 putts on the back, 15 on the front with two 3 putt greens, both of which were 3 putt bogies.
Been quite a while since I've played in cold like that. We finished in 3 hours, temp never got above 48.
Playing again on Tues. and Friday with a 4 man scramble thrown in on Saturday. A glutton for punishment.
