Out this afternoon with golf_ghirl, decided to use the General Play option on WHS to submit a score, as a personal test of whether my golf game struggles under "pressure". Double bogey on #2 from just off the green including a 3 putt had me thinking "Yep", another double on #4 after hitting into tree with a hybrid tee shot had me counting to ten ... s l o w l y ...
Recovered composure and hit a 3 hole par string from 7-9 (4, 5, 5) for a 44 front 9. Only one more par on the back 9 for 42, 86 for nett 71. Different course from yesterday so chip/pitch shots were releasing and running on the greens but putting is still a lottery, even inside 5 feet.
5 shots better than yesterday and just about where my HC Index has me, just got update and it UPPED me to 13.6 ... damn! Forgot it was yellow tees so slope rating is a bit lower than a comp round would be. I was on 7/19 so this takes me to the standard 8/20. 2 are decent, pre-shoulder injury, 2 are pre-op and pretty high, 3 post-op recovery only 1 of which is decent, and today's the 1st "counter" for this season.
System had to go back to 2017 to find enough scores to rate me at all. I knew I didn't (couldn't) paly a lot of comp rounds in recent years but still a bit of a shock to see it on my record. Anyway, onwards and downwards (hopefully).
