I went out today with the intent to swing harder on my driver. I've been thinking some back issues in early 22 forced me to unintentionally slow down. Back is doing better now, so I've started cranking it up on the range, and finally took it to the course. First 6 drives pounded down the fairway, slight fade, but 20 yards longer than what I had been doing.
Then it happened, the double cross duck hook. Missed the left adjacent fairway by being too far left. Anyone who has played with me knows I hit one draw per year max. Double cross duck hook happened again 4 or 5 times the next 6 holes. By the time we got to #14, I was scared to swing. I had no idea where it was going. Somehow, only lost 1 ball in all of that. 12 pars, 5 bogeys, one double for a 79.
