Pretty nice day for early April here - only mid-50s at best, but dry and sunny with very little wind made it feel a good bit warmer. Another 70 - a bit more consistent today with a lot of pars.
I'm looking at getting a new set of irons in the next couple of months, and am looking at options - tried the Srixon ZX7 today (both while warming up then on the course), which was decent but nothing more than that. Performance was fine - decent ball-flight, as workable as I need it to be and the 7-iron demo effectively replaced my Ping S56 6-iron, and it seemed reasonably forgiving on slight mishits - but the feel was lacking, in that there wasn't very much of it (I'd describe it as feeling a bit dead, even on solid shots). That might be because of the adapter in the fitting club, or because the shaft wasn't right for me (Modus 120 in stiff flex, compared to 950GH regulars in my own irons), but it would potentially be an issue for me, particularly as this wasn't an issue with the Titleist T100S irons that I tried a few months back. More testing and experimenting to be done...
