Got out today for 18 with the wife and son in tow. Neither play, so they just rode along for company which I much appreciated. Playing solo gets boring.
Anyway, missed 3 birdie putts in a row on the first 3 holes, and another on the 5th. 6th-8th were +3 and made a nice par save on 9 for a +3 front 9. Made the turn with a terrible tee shot, stood up and left it way right and short. Hit a great 8i over trees to just right of the green and got up and down for par. Par, Bogey, Bogey, Par, Par, Par, Par, Par, Par for a +5 77.
I hit some pretty good shots today with a few sinkers. When I hit it well I have to really move to the left side almost rolling over onto the side of my left foot. This move has seemed to have added +10 yards on my irons. I had been hitting 8i as the 150 club, but it is now my 160. I hit clubs today with the intent of landing short if anything and ended up long...... Got to readjust my distances in the future.
