Been too wet to golf, but now it looks like you folks up north are going to open up the valve and pump some of that cold down here. Then it will be too cold to golf.

Par4QC that right there is a good reason to use a neon blue/ pink ball. Those would almost glow against all that white.

5 Bullseyes out of 10 shots from around 15 yards with my 9MM in my back yard. That'll work.

I learned, growing up poor and hunting, a shot is never to be wasted; it cost something. Esp. when the old man counts bullets/shells.

Laat round I played (late January) I shot a 78 with 3 birdies and tons of short missed putts. For the first time in a couple years I'm actually excited about the game.

Play twice a week. Seem to shoot somewhere in the 80's most of the time. Break 80 here and there. Had two birdies yesterday. We play a 6,6,6 game all the time and score doesn't really matter. I've shot a 79 and lost money and shot in the upper 80's and won money.

Love East Lake Woodlands. Played it several times. Had a friend who was a member there. Which course North or South? The North is harder. I like both. Also, I like Countryside.

Since we gave up our memberships at Fox Hollow we're on the cheap winter tour with the Paradise Card. lol Played Plantation Palms on Friday. It wasn't in bad shape either. It's a great layout, but they haven't kept up with the maintenance like they used to.

Played Innisbrook the North Course for free with our Paradise card recently. Was disappointed in the condition. Especially if I had paid.

Playing Crescent Oaks on Monday and Tarpon Springs on Wednesday.

4 person scramble today. 2 couples. Shot a net 58 and didn't even scare 5th place. I hate these monthly events, especially when I hear the same names called for the prize money. It's fun, socially, but some teams are starting at 16 under with their "handicaps". Our team got 9.8 strokes. We made 5 birdies and 1 bogey and were 4 strokes out of FIFTH place!

Did you catch the east wind? Bitter. Light dusting of powdery snow atop wet ground, build up of ice on the heels of my golf shoes, golf ball turning into a tennis ball as it rolls/bounces across the greens. Only did 8 holes as I had to walk the dog before we ran out of light (didn't go out til 130pm) but it's always worth it.

It was a cold easterly here, yes, but we get a bit of shelter for about half of the round, so not as bad as it could have been. We had a couple of light snow showers, but not enough to stick around (or affect the ball on the greens). We're getting out to play, which is a lot better than the alternative!
