Played 18 on an executive course today with my best friend. 1st round with him in 5 months. He is the guy who is now blind in his left eye. I didn't care how I played, was just glad to be playing with my friend again. Par 61 course and I shota +10 71. Short game was a little better than it was on Friday. Beautiful 70° day again. Once again it was just great being out with my friend.

Played yesterday. Easy course I normally shoot around 80 on. Beautiful 70° day with light winds. I have an awesome warm up session hitting straight bombs with the driver. 1st shot from the tee, big ass duck hook that I haven't seen in a long time. Proceed to hit more duck hooks for almost the entire front nine. Iron play was decent. Chipping game was so bad. So I can't drive straight and can't chip for 10 holes. 49 on the front nine and I hate the game of golf. Was +10 on the 1st 4 holes.🤬 I finally get something figured out on hole 11 and instead of duck hooks I get it down to a left pull. I only hit 2/13 fairways with all misses to the left. I figured out some chipping issues and turn in a respectable 40 on the back nine. I need to hit the range and work on my short game.

Game is returning to form. I still struggle to hit FW metals off these tight Florida fairways, but my misses are low launching straight runners (think 175 yard putt). Driving is good, iron shots inside 150 are fair, chipping and putting is my savior. Shot 78 today on a par 70 track from 5400 yd tees. Happy with that.

71 today for me - still on the short winter course, but played pretty well (15 pars, 3 bogeys). The Cleveland putter will take a bit of getting used to on the longer putts - seems to come off the face a little slower than I'm used to - but I like how it feels on the shorter putts.

Even, on the sim.....final week of league....usually we play 9 and then do our league 9.....however league was on the front 9 so we took a chance 😆. +4 through 5 with two 3 putts (f✓cking machine), ended even with 4 birds in a row✅. We both shot even. In 2nd place going into the final week with two teams a point behind with one team with two weeks left. ... Should be good enough to finish in the 💰, but we shall see how it ends up!

Shot a 5/8 inch grouping at 50 yards. 17HMR ammo. Was a little wind and not my usual brand of ammo. It's a 17 caliber rim fire cartridge. 2550 feet per second. Basically a 22 magnum rim fire necked down to .17 and hopped up a little bit. Haven't shot for a while. A little low at that range do to the trajectory. Launch angle and angle of attack were good and I kept the turn to a minimum! Shot 10 minutes before posting.

meagain I'd rather see the gun than the ammo. Never heard of the caliber except for a . 177 pellet.

Walterjn Rifle with scope. Pretty tough to shoot a group like that if not impossible with a pistol especially at 50 yards. Had a little "draw" on a couple of the shots. Does Ping make a rifle? Wanted to shoot my AR-15, but the cost of ammo kills all the fun of it.

Thought about golf...still about 12" of snow in the yard. The snow shot a 2 today and then the rain stopped by and shot a 1.

LBlack14 a few years ago, some knucklehead at Hornady got the idea to wildcat rimfire cartridges. So they necked down the .22 magnum to .177 (pellet gun size), they called that the HMR. The little cartridge is extremely accurate, and lightning fast. They also took the .22lr, and necked that down to .177 and called it the HM2.

Walterjn Never heard of the HM2 until you mentioned it. Kind of a weird round I would think. Probably a lot quieter than the HMR, which is quite loud with a nice crack to it. Back in my high school years (when schools were schools) I used to take the large Shooters Bible and gun magazines to school and study all the calibers and the ballistics of them. Times were different then (no school shootings and such). Kids with pickups had the gun racks in their back windows with guns on them in the school parking lots for going hunting after school. Now having a picture of a gun will get you expelled.

meagain my .22 mags. Like yours, the Single 6 has 2 cylinders, 22LR and 22 Magnum.

meagain it is a lot quieter about the same report as a .22. I used to do the same in Jr. high. Guns & ammo and the like. Then again, my local high school used to have shooting lessons in the old gym using .22lr at 10-15 yards. Targets were placed in front of specially built bullet traps so no damage was done to the building.
