Walterjn I think Warrior Golf might be out of business.....?? I tried to Google them a few days
ago after somebody mentioned their clubs, etc. in another thread. As far as I could determine, it looks like
they still have a site selling their golf balls, but I couldn't find a site selling clubs....?? I don't know how they
could have stayed in business for long, given their methods of "customer service" that I've heard about. I
had a friend who tried to take advantage of their "no obligation demo" policy and had to go to hell and back
trying to get them to take the clubs back and remove the charges!

I went thru hell just to get them to stop calling me. I made one call to them with some build questions and they put my phone # on their speed dial. They called me on Sunday morning once. It took a verbal lashing and threats of geezer revenge to get them to stop.

I’ve seen some in our range buckets… along with Club Specials etc…. That’s the fun part of picking the range, the old balls you find!

Ahh....Club Specials!! When I was a kid (a LONG time ago!), that was Titleist's "cheap ball."
At the local 9 hole muni where we played, we could buy them brand new for 50 cents per ball....!!
The "Pinnacle" was a step up from the Club Special. Then came the Titleist.....This would have
been in the late 1950's.

Club Specials were what they called a "Jar Ball." They weren't sold in sleeves....there would just be
a jar full of them near the point of sale so the customer would say "Hey, I better get some balls too!"
then reach in and grab some!

fatshot Hahaha!!! We still call the logo’d Pinnacles “Jar balls”!!! Just a successor to the Club Special but the only name has been changed… not the classification.

If it's the same place I'm thinking of, had smallish greens, a lot of tunnels to drive thru,
and wasn't always in the best shape.

Mattyv Yeah, design wise it is ok - pretty straightforward track. Fun to play. But the whole course sits with a view of the ocean and the condition is almost always better than most. And with my resident card, I can walk it for $23. Can't beat that in SoCal.

38-40 today on a par 71 from 6300 yards. 1st time I have broken 80 in back to back rounds. Could have been better but I had a triple bogey on a par 4 on the back nine. LogicalOne putter was good again with 28 putts on the day. Had a chip in birdie on 10. Nice 68° day.

Didn’t get to play today. Kid’s Sunday school was at 9 and Mrs. Jelopster was helping teach. The local country club (not a member….hopefully some day!) boarders the church property. I had an hour to kill between dropping them off and the start of church so I did what any sane person would do: drove slowly around the roads bordering and intersecting the club and lived vicariously through those on the course, range, and practice area. Not many golfers out there today so plenty of open fairways for me to imagine myself hacking around.

It killed the hour and gave me plenty of time to finish my coffee.

84 at Westchase (45-39). Started off double bogey, double bogey. Had one birdie. Lost two matches and won one. Won one greenie. Had four holes left for an additional match. Played individual two tie all tie with two guys getting one stroke each.

Went par, bogey, par, bogey to lose by one to one of the guys who stroke. Did have a 7 footer for birdie on the number 2 handicap hole which I missed. Ended up losing $2.00.

Lunch at a nice Deli after. Turkey on toasted sourdough with muenster cheese with a side of home made potato salad. DELI-icious (that's the name of the place). And it was.

Sneakylong I hope to be playing Westchase (and a few other courses) in about 6 weeks.
