Played well today. 40-38 on a par 71 from a short 6000 yards. I am normally around 80 on this course. 3 fairways and 9 gir's. 30 putts was not too bad for me. Beautiful 70° and sunny. 3rd round in a row with the Logicalone putter in the bag and it isn't going anywhere.

87 at Westchase. Worst score in awhile. Beautiful day though. Gorgeous weather. Lost two matches and won one match. Won one greenie. The two guys who stroke tied for the last two hole match so escaped unscathed there. Ended up losing a buck.

Chicken sandwich at Burger 21. Nowhere as good as Chick Fil A.

I went around twice yesterday. I didn't keep score although I'm pretty sure I had a decent first round. End of 5 I was 3 over. I was hitting my 5 wood well yesterday. The only hole I pull it out for had a nice tailwind. The first time I ended up in the rough with an east chip onto the green for birdie. The second time, I missed the rough and got to watch my ball bounce off the fairway, and keep going right onto the green and off the backside into the rough... I got par that time. The second time around my driver was fantastic. A nice high straight ball, that had it hit the fairway would have been either on the green, or just over. Instead I sent it to the right side rough, and carded a bogey with 3 putts. My chip ended up above the hole, and my tap sent it 2' past, my second was uphill and I managed to leave it short by a couple of inches.... I had a great time, and the weather was breezy with misty sprinkles, those have since turned into rain and we got almost 2.5" last night alone. I believe that more is expected for today.

Typhoon it's slow progress, and I'm going to call that a little bit of luck with my driver. The 1st time I hit 5 just trying to get a nice hit ( I had the whole course to myself) I lost 1, topped one, and sliced 3 to within 20' the farthest apart 2. The second time, I told the guy I was walking around with that I'd try to not embarrass myself. I keep reminding myself that progress is slow, baby steps, 2 steps forward 1.5 back.
I really do appreciate the encouragement! It's keeping me going, that and I can't master it like most everything else.
My dumb ass picks up a hobby and gets to the point that it becomes boring. Horseshoes, wood turning, archery, it gets to the point where I feel that I'm doing the same thing and getting the same results. Mostly the ones I want. I will never be Olympic class archer, or even world class; I was very good though. I got to the point that I didn't miss by much and I started to not try or care... Golf on the other hand is a continuous challenge...

That 60° has been fantastic, and treating me well. It is one of my favorite clubs, if not my favorite. I pull that one for most everything out to about 60 yards. As far as more stuff to go in my bag, I think I'm good, 12 clubs (I'm not keeping my 3 wood in until I can hit it as consistently as I can that 5 wood, and my 3 iron has a cracked shaft), I have plenty of balls to play and lose, and a light up ball for when it gets dark before I finish 😁. Other than that, I have tees, fly spray, rain hood, shoes, etc.... Bag gets kinda heavy from time to time...
