Probably played the best I have in awhile yesterday...
First time playing the Mt. Prospect Golf Club, a muni near Chicago. Interesting course design, in that it was remade in the design of Seth Raynor and the holes are modelled with historic British holes in mind, as you can see from the card below. (Here's a link [https://www.golfmtprospect.com/course-overview/] for more info if interested.) So to say the least the greens were well-contoured and multi-tiered in most cases.
Keep in mind I am a 20+ capper. I started out like a house on fire: two pars, a bird, and two more pars. The first four greens were all one-putts. Did play the gold tees since that's what my driver distance warrants. Had one blow-up hole but ended up one-putting at least 6 greens (no kick-ins) and only 2 3-putts. The guys I played with were struggling on the greens, and couldn't believe my putting. Well, that's my strong suit I guess. Putter responsible is the Snake Eyes Viper Tour SV1.
Was even 2 out of 3 on sand saves using the Maltby Sand Putter. 😀
