They could have "INFOMERCIAL DAY!" A whole day featuring The Perfect Club, The GX7 Driver, The Moon Wood8,
The Alien Wedge, The Square Strike Wedge, and The Standup Putter infomercials, etc., etc., etc.

I don't think there is any 'making it better'. They can't even make it palatable. When it 1st came out, I, and even my wife who does not golf, watched it religiously. Very entertaining. Now, I only turn to it when a tournament is on there, or a good movie. Very stale, very boring. Very dated. As are the commentators/hosts, who are "never weres", not "has beens"'.
Peter Jacobsen is missed, as are Kelly and Rich.

I am surprised Robert Damron lasted that long. He's a regular guy like us, but bit his tongue quite often.

Have you noticed Chamblee has toned it down as well? He's been extra complimentary lately.
He also looks old, likely from trying to keep up with his wife

Bring back Michael Breed. His infectious energy made it watchable and he offered good help to the average golfer.
Play golf movies without commercials.
Playing Lessons From The Pros is one they should continue.
Do more up and close interviews with instructors and players.
Fitting show. Aid us all in how its done and the results shown by some random amateur.

braveheart I would like to see Breed host a "call-in" instruction show. Peter Kessler hosted one
like that early on where people could call in, describe their problem, and get a professional explanation of
what to try to correct their problem....

braveheart This is the part I don't like....the 'lessons, tips, how to'. No one has ever learned how to play golf from 'listening' to anyone telling them how to. No one. On any given 30 min. golf instruction type show, they talk for 25 minutes, while grounding an iron/picking it up/ moving towards camera while yapping/put it back down again.....repeat for 25 minutes! Just shut up, and show how to do it. Repeatedly. It's all that is needed.

I really don't watch the GC much except for actual golf tournament coverage and then usually only if it's a fairly major event. Don't like golf movies whatsoever so those are an immediate channell change for me. I will watch some of Playing Lessons and a couple of the instruction shows. I have to be really bored to even check out GC.

I just watch the actual tournaments now and half the time without sound. I did like Big Break, Playing Lessons from the pros, Feherty and some other stuff, but there is nothing left. I guess with more people playing golf again I would have expected Golf Channel to get better?

I agree and sometimes watch the Euro tournaments on the weekends early AM as I'm the only one in my house awake. It seems like they don't have as many cameras, but the announcers are better.

Yeah. Love their quirkiness and unfiltered comments. Much better than the stiff, predictable announcers.
