IIRC the HP420 was a venture by Horsepower Golf (FGI member Pat Dempsey) and SMT. Pat also participated in the Long Driver Senior Division.

    A quick story about Mr. Dempsey. He came out to one of the DS to do an exhibition. Afterwards, I asked him to sign a golf ball so I could put it up for a raffle to raise money for my son's hockey team. He gladly obliged. Then he asked me for my address and said he'd send something else.

    About a week later, one of those drivers showed up with a letter.....He continued to send a driver every year until my son graduated!

        Are those bore-thru shafts, or not? Can't tell from the pics....

        sdandrea1 Nice bounce/relief design too. These babies might work well for me on this turf.

        What year are they and which shaft is in them?

            My oldest set of irons are some Acer's that are very similar to the early Big Berthas without the bore thru. They always get back in the bag at some point each year.

                Put me first in line, these were my first real set of clubs after my first box set that I started golfing with. Real nostalgia.

                This will be another unicorn first. I've never bought anything from Steve either.
