I'm 61 and up until a few years ago had a basketball hoop in my driveway. The basketball I have is a Wilson. They seem to still be a prominent player in Tennis (rackets and balls), Footballs, Basketballs, Baseball, Volleyballs etc.. If they aren't the leader in those sports they don't lag as far behind as they do in golf.
Spaulding is another company that was once prominent in golf, but still has a major presence in the other sports as well. My father owned a retail sporting goods store back in the 1970's. It's interesting how some legacy sports equipment companies like Wilson and Spaulding ended up failing in golf after being leaders for many years, but still remain leaders in many other sports (equipment).
