PA-PLAYA That's a sweet deal, especially considering that PING irons tend to hold their value longer than most. +1
caper Ok Ho-man its been 2 weeks without Ping irons in the bag. So what is your scoring like? Any noticeable trend ?? Inquiring minds want to know.
sdandrea1 Same scores with the Gigagolf Pursuit forged set I'm playing. I was surprised to find how easy these "players" clubs are to hit. The downside is when I come down too steep - these dig right into the ground and the fat soled PING shovels would save me. Scoring is all about driving, chipping and putting for me anyway.
sdandrea1 Spuzz I think this head design has had many vendor's names stamped on it over the years. It looks very familiar when I look through some older catalogs.
caper I guess now that most are playing a "short" set, say 6 - wedges, the irons become less critical, especially for old farts as its all about moving down the fairway, till you chip and putt as you say.
sdandrea1 caper Exactly. I will not be buying the 3, 4 and 5 irons that go with that set, and many of the shots I take with the 6 irons are greenside bumpers.
