He should have said "fucking bundle of sticks".
I wonder how "Nice putt, Alice" would have gone over? (and yes, I know the origin is with Peter Alliss - but that's not how it's used any longer). Is it just the word he used, or the association to a group being weaker or ineffective? As an example, would he have faced the same level of scrutiny/indignation had he called himself a pickle farmer?

is JT homosexual ? I have no idea but that would have to be the comparison and even if he were then, IMO
- He would probably not have that word in his lexicon
- would never say it if it were ( probably receive even greater backlash)
As for the Tiger comparison, do blacks not use that term endearingly amongst themselves ....or is that just in Hollywood? Anyways, have heard Tiger utter many things in disgust, but never that....now I don't watch him much so could have missed.

I disagree with your statements. My sister is a lesbian and she and I had a conversation about terms that are derogatory to the LGBTQ community and she says they use them to and around others in that community all the time. It's when somebody says it to them and means it in a harsh way.
So, how do we know when it is o.k. and when it is not o.k. to use? If you are not in the community, don't use it. Simple.
