Considering you’re a helluva golfer, I’d suggest looking at the TSW wedges at golfworks. The grind on those heads is perfect for just about any course and any condition.

I’ll check them out. I’m sort of a mess on grinds. I’ve never tried to match myself up with one. Our course I guess would have right lies because it’s not plush.

Most of the courses I play are fairly plush. There are a few that we venture out and play that have tight grass fairways. This head does just fine on any condition.

CPO had 40% off wedges last week. I bought an MD5 56/10 S grind. S is the basic full sole. The leading edge is straighter than on my MD2's. I like the MD2 curved shape better. Same thing on the S grind, I like the MD2 version better. The MD5 bounce is closer to the back edge than it is on the MD2.

Obviously your mileage may vary.
I've never had a component wedge that had the right shape and bounce/grind for me. I didn't think I was that sensitive, but I guess I am, lol. I like a full grind, not a C or such. But I like the low point to be somewhere in the middle (well not all the way back), not at the back edge. And a rolled or soft leading edge, with a little extra curve but not a ton. Like an MD2! If anyone sees any components like that, speak up please. 🙂

The Purefit ID Raw wedges had the same shape as the M2.
Cannot think of any others as they are not for me.
I like the 5 shape, but mid or narrow sole, ideally.

Here are photos of the MD2 and 5. The 2 is the darker one. It’s raw but I don’t really let it rust. The bounces are almost the same I see. Just that the 2 has some extra material behind the bounce.

Spuzz A lot of times, if they are rounded, they are REALLY rounded. Hireko has some like that. Not for me.

Yep, the Acer XB redefines the term "rounded leading edge". It took a bit to get used to it but I really like them now.

Yep. The Pursuit line is an open model forging, I think. It's a very classic design with old-school lofts. 1035 Carbon Steel, not 1025, but soft nonetheless. They look gorgeous in the bag. The blades are as easy to hit as the CB. They sold me individual heads after an email request, for $30 each.

What I learned from the eye2 was to use not use wedge specific shafts in my wedges because I hit a lot of full shots with them.

Im looking at either the s400 or a modus 130 if I do my own shafting.

I know it says “illegal”... whether it’s just hype or not, I saw the Felon 2.0 on eBay/DTG and they really look nice and they’re only $20. No grinds to have to second guess myself on either. Bounce numbers look good too.

Couple questions, does anybody know if it’s a normal size head? Has anyone played them and how do you like them? Can you “open up” the 58 degree?

ive never bought wedges online, I’ve always seen them in person.

It's the same shape as the DTG lob wedge I play (DT-15) and they're normal wedge heads. You can open them up if you want. The grooves are the only funky thing about the felon wedges.

If you get enough spin with normal wedges (can get them to check and even sauce them back), the felon's grooves might cause you problems. I've heard they make the ball spin like crazy.
