garyt1957 Many ways to cheat, I'd guess. Here's a partial list off the top of my head, listed from mildest to most egregious.
--Hitting a 'casual putt' from a ball not chosen to be the ball in play before putting the actual ball. Counting it as birdie or eagle if it goes in
--Playing from the fairway even though the ball in play was actually in the rough
--Taking the same guy's drive on nearly every hole even though the rules stipulate you have to take a certain number from each player; corollary, if only three guys are on a team, having the A player take the fourth shot every time, rather than rotating
--Playing from a shorter tee box
--Playing putts from a much closer distance than they were actually supposed to be played from
--Rolling/throwing a ball onto the green in lieu of hitting a chip or a bunker shot
--Hitting extra putts after all players have missed, even though you have no mulligans remaining
--Counting a putt as holed, even though it hit the flag and stayed out, or lipped out
--Simply writing down on the card a score lower than what the team actually shot on a hole
I'm sure there are other ways to cheat. I am hardly an expert on cheating.
