Played yesterday and threw the franken shafted Sterlings in the bag. Still had my traditional 3 and 4 irons. 5-PW Sterlings with a different shaft in each one.
One word, WOW! I did not miss hit an iron all day and I think I used just about every club. I had one iron shot that wasn't at least somewhat on line, but I normally have a few iron shots per round that I hit high fade/slices. Didn't have that with these yesterday at least. 5 and 6 iron shots went plenty high on the course and using a better then driving range ball I didn't really notice the "tink" sound.
I didn't see that much yardage difference on the course. Maybe 5 yards, but will need to play on a more familiar course to really gauge that. I did have probably my best round ever shooting a 69 on a par 36 nine-hole course. Played different tees the "back" 9. It was an easy course, was really wide open on almost every hole and if I had putted a little better it could have been even lower. Three putted the 18th for bogey.......
Looking to get out to my normal course tomorrow for a round with the new clubs. But most likely will be ordering some shafts and putting these bad boys in the bag for now anyway.
