It's been found through my experiments 😁 , that a lot(maybe most) golfers are using a ball that is too soft for them. Esp. if they have a soft cover. They use these balls for 'feel', which is not distance or even performance. Just because a ball feels hard off the driver/iron face, does not mean it will not spin or go far. Most of the harder feeling balls will give up a lot of extra distance over those soft feeling ones. And about spin......wtf?....do people even know how to apply spin to a ball....the people that are shooting 90?
Best ball compression for most players would be in the 70's. Not the 50's. Not the 100's. You are losing yardage, just for 'feel'. Stop that!! 😆
BTW, ProV1 is about the softest 'feeling' ball to me, and gives great distance. No thanks at those prices.
