I turned it on just to see the course. A lot of cool looking holes with the rock outcropping but also a lot of boring holes like the straightest drive hole and the par 4 hit the green hole on holes 7-12.
i do like watching those 4 play. Rosie... meh... but the other 3
I didn't see much of it, but the course did look gorgeous. At least I would get a beautiful view while making a double or triple lol.
Very pricey golf at this resort. The fare for Payne's Valley is going to be $225. The Par 3 course where the seniors play their event is $135 for 18. Friends that have played the Par 3 marveled at the scenery and outstanding holes but the one thing they said stood out was the beverage station that is under an outcropping that the cart path takes you in and then out. Even the complexes driving range gets rave reviews with the scenery looking back down to the city of Branson and the Lake.
After hitting balls in the garage last night I watched some of the replay. Enjoyed the golf, the beauty of the course and area, all while sitting in my sweat drenched shirt eating licorice. Fun times!
Nice promotion for Tiger's course architecture.
Loved the look of the course so I checked it out. As others have said, pretty pricey. They have a few courses to choose from at Big Cedar Lodge. Looks like an amazing golf getaway. I think a ton of people were like me and checking out the site because it was slow as hell and I couldn't get in to see any of the package deals.
DVR'd it,watched the first 12 holes (so far) of this condensed mini Ryder Cup format.
Pretty entertaining stuff, and the course is spectacular in what might well be the ultimate golf
get away with a little bit of everything for everybody.
I found the interview with Jack and Gary Player kind of odd though, with Jack pretty much sticking to
the script about course design etc.
But Player came off as an angry/grumpy old man....saying "if he had lived in the states he would've won
more majors"....Jack was probably thinking not a snowballs chance in hell.
He also got off on some wild tangent that he's a 'tree hugger',and trees shouldn't be removed or cut down to
shape a golf course layout.
I find it really hard to believe, that with all the tracks Player has designed around the world,he did
so without having to pull or cut down any trees!
GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!
It was amazing to see the work they did to create the 19th hole.
Gary Player has "little man's disease"
