darpar There is going to be no making the courses tougher, or longer, that is being proven on every course they play. Rolling the ball back also won't work as the longest will still be the longest(and in the rough šŸ˜€ ). Equipment could be rolled back(lofts), and that might make a difference when having to use a longer shafted club from the rough.

Spuzz Looks like a couple more than 6, what with him hitting a moving ball.

What a start for the final group. The young guns come out as the only contenders with birdie putts to start the round.

The leaders are backing up and the greens are showing their teeth.
Could be a wild back 9 finish....and the fairways aren't getting much use today! šŸ¤£ šŸ¤£

At this moment, GolfMonster and draper are looking good w/Bryson. It's not over yet.

darpar Seems like the new norm is to bomb your tee shot as far as you can, go find it, gouge it out
of whatever lie you find it in, and repeat..

That's what I do. So I'm a bomb and gouge guy? More like a bunt, bunt, wedge and putt guy.....

Wow....the USGA is going to be flummoxed and hair on fire after this. JMO.

DeShameLess is going to shut a lot of people up today. I need to go over to WRX and see what all the snobby haters are saying. I'm surprised to see his mental toughness. He used to come off as a whiner.

Its okay if the longest are still the longest. But they are going to rein everyone in.

DonM But they are going to rein everyone in.

There are ways to set up courses to make them more of a skills test - but they will NEVER do that.

Eguller Oh, he is still a whiner - it is easier when leading by 4 with 3 left

I figured his emotions would unravel him. He was tough today.

I was more impressed with his putting than anything else!
Seemed like he made everything, like Tiger did in his prime.

DonM What else could they have done this week?

I wasn't suggesting this week specifically, but course/tournament design more so.
