A generous fellow named Steve in Florida (yes I meant to say generous) sent me some ProSoft inserts to try out as a prize for the PGA Championship contest. I have a couple of steel shafted sets I can try them in, but I'll need to re-grip them anyway to add the inserts.
Couple of things to note: I have short, stubby fingers and I also sweat like the fat, out-of-shape man I am except even worse. Because of the sweat, I don't use a glove. Live in the Memphis, TN area, so heat and humidity dominate the playing season. Back in the day my go to grip was a standard size Tour Wrap Cord. In more recent years it's been the Lamkin Cord or the similar Tour Velvet Cord. I haven't really kept up with modern grip materials or shapes other than to be aware that many are moving to less or no taper for some reason. Would like some suggestions that I can look into and experiment with prior to winter, when I will probably go all in and add the inserts to one of my forged cavity back sets.
