Suggestions for new grips

A generous fellow named Steve in Florida (yes I meant to say generous) sent me some ProSoft inserts to try out as a prize for the PGA Championship contest....

A shocker for me - It has been very humid here in PA over the Summer and a kind fellow recommended
I try a FootJoy Rain Glove instead of a standard leather or synthetic one. Worked like a charm.

Only problem is now i'm hooked on them. 🤣

I have always liked the rain glove in hot, humid weather, have actually gotten so bad I have worn both. Work great.

For grips, I have always liked the Avon Chamois, and I do have a Dry-Tac grip on a wedge I recently picked up which I like, but am not sure yet of durability.

They are totally different than the Winn wrap type grips with the underlasting.

I play without a glove and love the Golf Pride Tour Velvet +4 midsize.

Leather grips my friend. Try these and you won't look back. I've tried both bestgrips and gripmaster and both are great. No glove needed, even in the rain and they will last you several seasons. Yes they are expensive up front but because they last for years and you won't be spending money on gloves, these are actually cheaper in the long run. I believe bestgrips have a no taper grip too if that's your preference.

I did that Mon. Had sweaty hands and wore two Cally all weather gloves. My favorite gloves are the Bionic Relief gloves that help grip in wet conditions and if you have any arthritis issues in you finger joints like me. Expensive but I get the right and left. Mine just wore out last year after 3 or 4 seasons. I have also used the Footjoy rain gloves for both hands and they are good. I played the left all of the time and both when it gets sticky.

I'm in agreement with Weirfan for best grips, but do use the Winn Dry-Tac on the driver.

I’m a zero friction glove guy. I have big hands and even though I don’t sweat a lot the grip is secure. I’m not fussy about grips, the new sticky styles are fine for me.

Been using it on all clubs for years including driver. Works for me. YMMV. 😁

azgreg it works. I use the spray because it dries super fast and isn’t greasy feeling. I went to rain gloves, works just fine, but if you are adamant about no glove use the antiperspirant. I originally figured it out at summer time trade shows, my damn hands sweat so much I didn’t want to shake hands, problem solved.
