Early in my golf life I was exposed to a golfer that would take the cover off, unzip a bag pocket, put the cover in, set up and take (duff) a shot, pull out a brush and meticulously clean his iron back off, dry it off with a towel, unzip the pocket and retrieve the iron cover, place it back on, replace his iron back into the bag, and then repeat the process a few dozen times. Although I’m absolutely sure he wasn’t thinking or intending it that way, I felt as though he was happy to waste my time in order to keep his irons pristine for every shot. That one person turned me into a hater.
