Like watching US Open golf today. Course conditions with wind are like playing on eggshells. I think conservative accurate play will win the day. Fun!

sdandrea1 I think that's what Jack had in mind. Last week, Morikawa's winning score there was -19. Today, Rahm is 12 under, and due to a 4 stroke lead, wind, and the firmness of the greens, I can't see him taking very
many chances. Watching right now, the greens look almost brown, so I'll bet Jack said after last week, "Make
the conditions like a U.S. Open!"

They are tearing the course up tomorrow for reconstruction, so they are putting no effort or money into maintaining greens/fws, etc. this week. They didn't care if the greens got down to bare dirt, and it may before 6 p.m.. A 4 shot lead on this course, and you lose it, you'd best tear up your card!

Don't like it. Would like to see a camera angle to see if he was even looking at the ball. No lie improvement. Not a Patrick Reed situation.

It might come down to the 'naked eye' clause of the new rules.

Cheater - I think I saw the ball move on 3 different shots from him - maybe that is how it is
    done in the big time.

Thought it was a bit of a dick move by the reporter to ambush him in the interview. Maybe wait until after he has talked to the rules official and signed the scorecard to bring it up...

Rahm was just given a 2 stroke penalty on 16
Glad it didn't affect the outcome....that was a helluva a chip on 16,ball move or no ball move.

And after watching the replay,Rahm said the ball DID move on 16.

With a BIG lead,I guess it's much easier to except a penalty you didn't even know about! LOL

darpar guess it's much easier to except a penalty you didn't even know about! LOL

      Don't ask Dustin Johnson.

I figured the naked eye clause would cover that. I didn't think anybody would see it move without a camera.
