USPS sucks
Walterjn explaining that due to weather in and around Memphis
Memphis was basically shut down from 2/14 - 2/21. Snow and ice was completely melted away by 2/22. There were tornado watches and bad thunderstorms in the area yesterday (2/28), but that is the only significant weather I'm aware of within the past week.
I've got one coming that hasn't been scanned since the 17th or the 21st. Contacted the seller and said the same. They messaged me immediately after the 2nd time I sent it and said they filed a lost package and refunded me, even though it says on it's way, late. I honestly think the shipper is sketchy. A shitload of positive transactions, but more than usual negatives as well. I don't think he liked my offer, that he accepted.

Well, that covers when items were shipped and delivery dates were just past that shutdown....
One would think with all the technology we have, that the post office would be able to get accurate delivery dates figured out...

So I call the Post Office 1st thang this morning and they say the seller dropped off several packages to be shipped, but mine wasn't on the manifest. It never shipped. The guy said he filed a "lost package" claim. What kind of scam is this guy running?? This guy has over 34k positive feedback in the past 12 months and over 700 negative. What
LBlack14 This guy has over 34k positive feedback in the past 12 months and over 700 negative.
I will seldom take into consideration the positives, if a seller has that many total feedbacks. BUT...those negs would have sent me running. Even if he had 1M positive, and just 700 negs, stay away.
You got a good business....you got 100% positive.
UPS isn't any better. Ordered a fairway wood from Callaway Preowned. Shipped via UPS - after 2 weeks of tracking telling me the package is on its way I call UPS. Shows club sitting in New Stanton, Pa Distribution Center - about 75 miles from me, for a week. I ask person on phone if they would like me to drive out to New Stanton to pick it up...Get a call back saying that the item is broken and they contacted the shipper, call the shipper. Call Callaway Preowned and let them know. Order a hybrid I was looking at as replacement for the fairway wood and they don't even charge me the difference in price - great service. Do follow-up tracking 3 days later and UPS says that package is in New Stanton and, you guessed it, broken. UPS notifies shipper and sends back. Waiting on my refund...They all suck...
USPS continues to get packages to where I've sent em in good time too! Probably just jinxed myself!

ode I sure as hell did when I opened my mouth!!
Now, this a.m., I get an update from UPS saying a box headed this way is delayed. WTF is going on with these people, from all shipping services?
P.O. says people are quitting, most before their probation ends. Older ones are retiring early. UPS is hiring. WTH...no one likes working for money today? Yeah, give them all $300-600/wk. for extra compensation, to sit on their asses.
All managements need a complete overhaul if they are having "COVID" problems over a year later. And people need their asses kicked to learn how to work for a living. And, work, being the key word.
Right now, I've got tracers out on any package shipped by me, or to me, if they are 1 day past due. Make 'em work.
And these tracers appear to work similar to ex-lax. As soon as I file, things move!!
Somebody explain this to me. Tracking number doesn't show up in the system.
Looks like item was never actually brought to USPS.
sdandrea1 The only explanation is "USPS sucks"
USPS may not have had a chance to screw this one up yet if they have actually not received the package. Many USPS clerks will not scan a prepaid package unless you request a scan so it won't show up in the system unless it gets scanned along the way. The shipper is likely the issue here but the 6th and 7th were weekend. And if it is actually delivered to the PO today tracking may not show up in the system until tomorrow.
The last 3 packages I have sent all showed the same. I personally dropped them at the PO but the next and first scan was at the location they were being delivered to. The tracking always showed that USPS was waiting for the item and there were no scans until at the location where I was sending the item. All 3 times it looked like I never shipped the items but so far all has ended well.
