mikeintopeka out of curiosity, how many transactions have you had on eBay?

645 total transactions. 100% positive feedback buying and selling......probably because I sell my stuff cheap, make it look shiny, and ship quick.

I knew you'd have 99.9% positive feedback or better, that's why I didn't ask. πŸ™‚ SIX HUNDRED FORTY FIVE transactions is impressive. I tip my cap to you! I would think they'd ask you to be on a power user panel to seek your input on tweeking their system.

That's since 2008, so 12 years worth of ho-ing and I have an electric guitar habit too. I've also done a fair share of selling stuff for friends and family.

Bravopilot Correct. I'm lucky that I have the 100% as maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of mine came from sales.
I just checked and I only have about 12 feedbacks in the past year. Haven't done much selling there the past few years.

Bravopilot Having neither bought nor sold anything on EBay, I take it both the buyer and seller are graded???

Yes, but feedback is separate for each category. Each member has feedback as a buyer and feedback as a seller.

I wasn't bragging. I was answering his question, Mr. Showoff! I knew I couldn't hand with you anyway. πŸ˜†

sdandrea1 We'd both probably have double if they hadn't redid things a few years ago. You can only get feedback(counted in total) from a seller, or buyer, 1 time now, no matter how many times you buy from them/sell to them.

We were just told by the ups driver that we need to put a tote in the end of the driveway....they are no longer coming in the driveway if they think it's too much snow or ice and everything goes back after 1 delivery attempt.

I live 35 miles from San Francisco. My package was shipped from Vegas to San Francisco and now it's in Atlanta.

pellmell Logistics is a very complex concept and why logisticians are well paid. (Sorry, I work with logisticians often, and they hate it when I say the same thing about pilots). Perfect timing.

I get home from work today and there’s a box sitting in the turnaround in our driveway. I’m thinking what the hell is this, get out of the car to take a look and find it’s the coffee I ordered last week. WTF? They can’t get out of the vehicle and just throw it up on the porch by the door? I’m sure they just turned around opened the door and tossed it out. FedEx is who f-ing sucks in this neck of the woods. Rant over

            6 days later

I just wanted to post a USPS update. My DIL lives in a very rural area that is serviced by a very small local USPS office. My wife talked to her the other day and she told her that she was at the local PO the other day and the place was literally stacked to the ceiling with Amazon boxes which are easily discernable with their swoosh logo. The PO clerk told her they were overwhelmed with all packages but most from Amazon. So, morale of story is to ship now if you even hope to send something or receive it by Christmas. I sent two large boxes of presents to my kids in Minnesota and Boston two weeks ago. They were supposed to take 4 days. At two weeks the MN box got there yesterday and the Boston box is out for delivery today. I am guessing UPS and Fuddex are busy as well.

I sent a package WI to CA 12/3, arrived in CA 12/8 and to the local PO on 12/9. Not terrible considering some of the stories....but was holding my breath!

I've got packages coming from everywhere right now. Just checked tracking on all of them and it drove me nuts. I've got boxes sitting in places for 2-3 days before they move on. All 3 carriers!

I know we have guys here that work for some of these places, but WTF?... are people that afraid of a bit of hard work/hustle? The public does know what they get paid, and I would have killed for that type money/benefits when I was employed. Get yer asses to work!! 😠 And stay the hell off my yard.

What is really pissing me off is these Ebay sellers that sell, then right away post a tracking # so they don't get in trouble, then don't ship. Then I will get another tracking # because the 1st one expired.

Those PING ZING heads still haven't arrived,, although after a month, they made it from Leland, I'll, to Atlanta.

It may not be slacking workers. You can only get so many packages in a truck. With a greatly increased volume they can only ship so much stuff at a time with a limited number of trucks and drivers. Patience, grasshopper.

Rickochet I'm laughing. 2 days ago, a FedEx truck went down our street, which they do a few times EVERY day. But, this was a semi. I could only think 'OMG, someone ordered more than me! And it's bigger!' 🀣
