The 40 year anniversary edition! The original CD remastered. 2nd CD full of different songs and alternate versions. And then a DVD with 15 music videos and a full 1982 ONJ concert. Ah, the glorious 80s video productions, so bad it's better than any comedy.

Boring day in the proshop when it rains. Looked up this one... cool to see one of the Twisted guys up there with Nick.

SVonhof BTW, for anyone who likes 80's metal, a guy we used to work with has met a LOT of the old band members and finally got his own app, called "Hairball John Radio" on Apple and Android. You don't control what you listen to at all, but there is some stuff on there that you likely never would know unless you bought the albums.

I mentioned this a while back and found out recently that John has entered into an agreement with a company for syndication. They are now going to approach FM stations about distribution and advertising. John will retain control over every aspect of the show itself.

I hope it all works out and he gets on stations all over the place!

Hairball John Radio" is a 24/7 music app dedicated to 80's hair/classic metal. HBJ Radio proudly features deep tracks and songs from lesser known bands in regular rotation along with mainstream hits. It is not uncommon to hear bands like Shark Island, Asphalt Ballet and Heavy Bones played along side Bon Jovi, Tesla and Def Leppard. Download the free app and find out why Hair Nation is losing listeners at a record pace to Hairball John Radio.

Mississippi Queen, a pretty good version. One of the best concerts I ever attended was a Mountain concert in Sioux Falls, SD back in the 70's. Leslie West and Felix Pappalardi had to work pretty hard to get the audience "with them" after their lead in band was done. The band was Black Oak Arkansas. Great concert!

There is no Youtube link for this. I’m sitting up stairs listening to Nick play along to all the songs in the set for the upcoming Dee Snider show. So you hear Dee and the band but Nick playing his parts live.

Wild, like a private concert .

I’m going thru an a cappella groove lately. I can’t decide if I like Voiceplay or Home Free better.

Wife was watching this movie recently. I'm a sucker for a Jim Steinman song

Like these videos of younger people reacting to classics. In this case it's Lay Down (Candles In The Rain) by Melanie. My sister loved Melanie back then. Played her songs to death. One of my wife's coworkers knows Melanie as she has a home nearby. Powerful voice. Great singer / songwriter. Goose bump song. lol

Ok, ran across this guy in another thread. He is pure genius. You don't even have to be a metal fan to like it!

Check out Frog Leap Studios. Some amazing covers.

Go down the Metal Cover rabbit hole!

One of my favorite Doors songs. The Soft Parade.

I don't listen to much music on my own, but generally absorb whatever the family is playing in the car. My daughter, who has long been a grunge fan (Nirvana, Alice in Chains, etc.) from that era, has been playing other stuff from the 90's.

She doesn't like this song, but I do - for reasons I'm not sure of. Perhaps it is due to some biblical allusions in the lyrics. Don't think I've ever heard anything else from this band that I like.

Old guy music. Stills and Clapton

I wouldn't call Matchbox Twenty or Dave Matthews "Grunge", but I do think I could survive a road trip with your daughter as DJ. I think the Collective Soul song is the best of the bunch you posted! I just miss when popular music was made by people who sang without autotune and actually played instruments to make the music! GET OFF MY LAWN YOU PUNKS!

Dufferman I wouldn't call Matchbox Twenty or Dave Matthews "Grunge",

I wouldn't either. That’s why I said she has been playing other stuff from the 90’s.🙂

Dua Lipa and Elton John. Cold Heart. Heard this in a store today. Had to check it out. They used 4 different Elton songs for this.

The kids walked out to this song at the completion of the wedding ceremony I was at Saturday.

Jim Seals of Seals and Crofts died yesterday at the age of 80. They had a few big hits in the 70's. Here's one from 1973. The year I graduated high school.
