Dufferman Ok, ran across this guy in another thread. He is pure genius. You don't even have to be a metal fan to like it! Check out Frog Leap Studios. Some amazing covers. Go down the Metal Cover rabbit hole! Leo Moracchioli
johnnydoom I don't listen to much music on my own, but generally absorb whatever the family is playing in the car. My daughter, who has long been a grunge fan (Nirvana, Alice in Chains, etc.) from that era, has been playing other stuff from the 90's.
Dufferman johnnydoom I wouldn't call Matchbox Twenty or Dave Matthews "Grunge", but I do think I could survive a road trip with your daughter as DJ. I think the Collective Soul song is the best of the bunch you posted! I just miss when popular music was made by people who sang without autotune and actually played instruments to make the music! GET OFF MY LAWN YOU PUNKS!
johnnydoom She doesn't like this song, but I do - for reasons I'm not sure of. Perhaps it is due to some biblical allusions in the lyrics. Don't think I've ever heard anything else from this band that I like.
johnnydoom Dufferman I wouldn't call Matchbox Twenty or Dave Matthews "Grunge", I wouldn't either. That’s why I said she has been playing other stuff from the 90’s.🙂
Sneakylong Dua Lipa and Elton John. Cold Heart. Heard this in a store today. Had to check it out. They used 4 different Elton songs for this.
johnnydoom The kids walked out to this song at the completion of the wedding ceremony I was at Saturday.
Sneakylong Jim Seals of Seals and Crofts died yesterday at the age of 80. They had a few big hits in the 70's. Here's one from 1973. The year I graduated high school.
