Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

sdandrea1 Failed my treadmill stress test. Couldn't get my heart rate up to 126 using the fastest speed on the highest incline (for geezers).

I did that once with the same result. They kept turning up the incline until I was panting like a beagle.
Turned out the problem was that I had taken my blood pressure meds before and they kept my rate down. Nobody told me not to take my meds. Must not have been that important because they never asked me to redo it. 😕

Did my civic duty. 20 mins and out. The line was half what it was @ 720 when I left lol. Lots of folks registering at the poll!

ode a few differences this year vs 4 years ago. While looking at my DL the volunteer had me state my name and address; and I electronically signed vs. on paper (I may be wrong on this last bit, but don't remember signing electronically).

Voted. In and out in 3 minutes. Small town area, said I was #233 already. Know the ladies that work there and they know me, but make them look at my license anyway.

Just two things to do today, vote and therapy for my new knee. Voting shouldn't take long. Therapy, who knows?
My recovery from knee replacement surgery is taking longer than I thought/hoped it would. I was doing great until last Saturday evening I was trying to put some socks on by myself. I had my foot mostly on my knee. Just the heel was on my knee and when I leaned forward to reach the sock over my toes my foot slipped off of my knee and slammed down onto the floor with a quite a bit of my weight on it as well because I was leaning forward. I landed with my foot almost against the other foot (at a sideways angle). Instant pain. I took quite some time for the pain to subside and I headed straight for the ice. I've been hurting ever since and needed to return to taking oxycontin again to get to sleep at night. I hate taking that stuff. I feel like this set me back about a week in my recovery. I make a return trip to my therapist this afternoon and I'm hoping he will come up with some exercises for me so I can get back on track.

Property tax bill arrived today, thought this place was cheaper than Northern VA. Not on property tax apparently. They do allow split payments, 10 Dec and sometime in May '25. Dec is odd to me since holiday time, believe VA was June and Sep, something like that.

Bravopilot Split payments here too; Jan and June. If you want to feel better I can tell you about our property taxes here in CT.

Worked. Left two hours early, came home and picked up the wife and we went to the polls to vote. She's going out to eat with friends, so I'm going to cook Mahi Mahi with garlic/lemon/butter sauce for me and my daughter. Then try and find a movie to watch so I can avoid the all-consuming drama tonight.

2020 had the biggest turnout of the 21st century, with approx. 67% of 'registered' voters; 155M. Your figures could be quite telling as to what we'll see later on the news. IF we watch.

Can't be a lot of our population under age 18, going by all those figures.
67% = 155M(registered)
Pop. = 320+M.

Watching the carnage being emotionally dealt with. I feel for people on the wrong side of this. It really stings to feel so strongly and know you have to face 4 years of something or someone you vehemently disagree with. All the grace in the world for others pain because I've felt it myself.

World feels different like putting on an old coat I thought I'd lost and would never wear again.

Planned on playing but work got too busy and I wasn’t looking forward to a 2.5 hour 9 hole round. Then I find out the last account I went to I have to go back to again this week because my “help” won’t be around.
Worked in the pro shop later this afternoon because it was so busy.
Think golf is done now for me.
