Last weekend I went to Krogerās to buy some beer. I went through the self-checkout, and of course it told me I had to have my ID checked. So I got out my license. The guy scanned it and it says āEXPIRED.ā Sure enough, it expired on my birthday 2 weeks ago. So, first thing Monday morning, I went to the BMV, renewed the license and was given a piece of paper complete with picture, birthdate, info, etc. to use until my license is mailed to me from Columbus. So, today I went to Kroger againā¦..went through self checkout, got my paper license ready, and when the lady comes over she takes one look and says, āIām sorry sir, Krogerās policy is they only accept a REAL driverās license for ID.ā Are you kidding meā¦ā¦???? I feel like an alcoholic who NEEDS a drink!!! I suppose I could have gone to a carryout (I may still do that!!), but I was SO pissed off I wasnāt thinking!!!! I'm sure I look every bit of my EIGHTY YEARS.....!!! Whaddya gotta do to get a drink around here????? š”
