Spent most of my day dealing with irrigation issues. Found a 'bubble' of water in the rough between the tees and fairway on #5. After digging it up, we learned that there was a crack in the 3"-1" tee. We also discovered that there was a lot of sediment build up in that section of pipe. We decided to cap the uphill pipe, where we believe the water supply was. We planned on using a pressure washer powered drain cleaner i have to flush the buil up back out to the hole i dug.
We couldn't get that supply side pipe to stay capped. 1st time we capped it, it blew out. Turns out there was a slip joint splice that let go. So more digging, thankfully I had a bit of help from one of the other guys. Got the slip joint out, and glued a proper coupler in place, and tried again. It blew out as well and I don't know why. By this time it was after 5pm and we said screw it. The guy in charge said he would deal with that in the morning. I did offer my pressure washer set up to him so he could see about flushing any build up out, he took me up on that.

Crack is on the right side by the 1" pipe.

2nd attempt at capping it off, used an old pitcher we use for bailing water as a support for the pipe.

Proper coupler, cap is on the other side of the dirt at the bottom of the pic.

Nasty, evil bullshit that should be used only as an emergency repair due to everything being closed on a long weekend.
