Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

I see its gonna be one of those months...
Today was supposed to be an easy day, and part of it was. I did get to spend some time with a friend at her barn after I delivered her trailer there.
I picked it up about 10 miles from home, and hauled it about 45 miles to her barn.
On my way home, my beastie just shut off, no gauges, aside from voltage and fuel level. As I was on the side of the road, I called one friend who lives close to where I do. She came down and burned a AAA tow to get me and my truck home. Truck doesn't even try to start. Not even a click from the starter. Radiator is full, so I didn't dump coolant, oil is still clear a little dark, batteries are @ 12.45, all the fuses I've found are good aside from the one for the lighter.
I'm out of ideas, and no shop is open this weekend.
Sorry guys, im more than a little frustrated at the moment. I'm also very grateful for my friend, I really do adore her. She said it made her day to be able to help me out, as im normally her 1st call when she needs help. So that's a good thing.
Yesterday, when adjusting the reel on one of the walk mowers, I caught my left middle finger between one of the blades, and a bar. I now have a cross on my left hand middle finger.

I guess I can bless people from afar with that finger now. 🤣😂🤣

Walterjn Don't know anything about your truck, whether it is an automatic or what brand, but had same thing happen to me several years ago.
Pulled up to a stop light and car just died. Tried to start and no response at all. Everything worked, lights, etc.. Got help, jumping did nothing, got it towed, continued on to work. Was told by a couple places that the engine locked up. 1 dealer that was a church member where my wife went said he'd take on trade for a few 100, so we did.
But I was skeptical about the engine locking up and went online doing some digging on the problem, car year/model, etc.. Found out the torque converters were problems for that era of Ford/Mercury vehicles with that engine. Had a work associate that had had the same problem prior to mine.
Might be worth noting in your case, if an automatic trans.

Walterjn Going backwards.....TC locks up, engine can no longer run, starter cannot turn engine, all appearances of a dead battery, test battery only to find it is A-OK, proceed to banging head on wall(or ground😆).

The dealership we traded with probably fixed it and resold for a profit. The car was in excellent condition, Mercury Marquis, not high miles at all.

It was only after we bought another car from that dealer that I found out the info on the TC problems. And the car we bought was a Mercury Sable..........with the same transmission, same type of vehicle my work associate had had the trouble with😲. I worried a lot with that knowledge.

Never dealt with such a thing. My first thought would be a fuse if there even is one associated with the ignition circuit and/or starter circuit. Or a connector popping open. Slipped timing chain if diesels even have one. Just spewing thoughts from a place of ignorance. Edit to add, I would think a starter solenoid, at least on a standard gas engine, would at least click even if the engine/transmission was seized, but again - I’m writing from ignorance and not experience.

johnnydoom I think I've checked all the fuses, not positive as the upfitter added some, and a bunch of wiring.

Going to daughter’s boyfriend’s house to eat lunch with their family. Going to my wife’s friend’s house after 5 to socialize with her family and then watch the fireworks from her front yard, which is adjacent to, and faces the park where the fireworks originate.

I met up with someone today and sold my i2Os. It was nice to hear from someone that wanted them after getting some serious low-ball "offers". Went to Fish and Bone and purchased some freeze dried treats for Archie $$$. Some general errand running looking for a few things that we are after. Sunday and Monday are supposed to be scorcers so I picked up a spray pad for him and of course he hates it...lol

Watching the cat, which is fascinated by the Mediterranean geckos on the wall of our front porch. Played a couple of rousing games of Skip-Bo with the wife and daughter. Ate some crockpot Buffalo wings for supper. I’m really digging that lazy way of making them. Just throw some butter and hot sauce to equal 1/2 cup total in the crockpot and melt the butter. Toss in a thawed out bag of party wings and mix them thoroughly in the sauce. Cook on low for 5-1/2 hours. Put them on a sheet pan about 8 inches under the broiler for 5 minutes per side to crisp up, then dredge them back in the crockpot sauce.

Actually it’s opinion - coming from a 5’7” fat guy with small hands that never played more than a pickup game. (Where I was only good at 25 - 30 foot shots until someone realized I could make them and came out to defend me). Strangely, with a wide body and a very good vertical leap, I did actually add some rebounding value under the basket. Point is, I’m just offering couch observations with little real experience to back it up. Might make me as qualified as Stephen A. Smith.😄

A couple of days late but. Friday we left the mountains of Colorado and headed for Denver. Walked around the downtown area. Had lunch at an old school that has been turned into a beer garden. After that, we met up with one of my good friends from college that I haven't seen in 20 years for a coupleofhours. I wish we had more time to hang with them but we had to get to our next destination. Friday night for 4th of July we saw Blues Travler at Red Rocks with the Gin Blossoms and Spin Doctors. What a great show and the venue is the best I have ever been to. A picture of me and the better half.

Saturday we drove home. Denver to Phoenix in 12hrs flat, including food, fuel and restroom stops. Only issue was getting pulled over 1 minute after leaving the hotel parking lot. The cop ran my plates but put in a wrong letter and pulled me over when it didn't match up. 5 minute delay and that was it.

Today is rest and getting ready for work tomorrow.

Mattyv have seen Blues Traveler many times back in the days of HORDE. First time was at the Rave in Milwaukee in ~ 93 or 94🤔 .... not sure when the last was but many many years ago either at Summerfest or at Oneida Bingo and Casino of all places when they had a series of shows out in the tent🙃....I know I saw Black Crowes at Oneida ~ 2000/2001. The era of early 90's to 2000ish was such a great era for live shows. Miss those days!

After my usual Sunday dump run and cleaning up after my Clydesdale I started working on pulling the rear steps away from the house the clean , stain them and clean, recaulk and paint the kickboards under the patio door that I installed 4 years ago. Moving the steps back was no easy task as they are 12' long and 2x8 construction with 2x6 decking, but they now are back about 16". The kickboards have been pressure washed and the steps have been bleached and pressure washed. The heat was certainly helped in the drying. Tomorrow will have a fair amount of painting and staining on the itinerary. Supposed to be another scorcher.

Not finding much so far on my truck, still waiting for my buddy and his scan tool. Ended up at the course and was just frustrated, yet wondering how well it could hit left handed clubs. So I grabbed a few lefty clubs and a shagbag then went to the range. I grabbed the 3, 5, 8, and 9 irons. Started with the 9 iron, I just went to see how well i could hit them. Once I got my lefty swing to swing ok, and not like a spastic ape, I was hitting balls quite straight and with a small draw. I started paying attention to where my right elbow was in my swing, and to how far away from the ball i was. After 2 full shagbags, I took the lefty irons in, and grabbed my 4, 5, 8, & 9 irons. I started paying attention to my left elbow and how far off the ball i was. My 8 & 9 irons were flying nice and high and fairway straight, I felt like I was opening the face up too much, and I was still hitting them straight. When I closed the face I was hitting draws and hooks. Ball contact was much better overall, and even my 4 iron was flying high. I wasn't feeling like I was trying to kill the ball. It seemed to be more consistent. I'm happy with my range session. Let's see if I remember anything next time I swing a club.

Just started the day off great by cutting up a perfectly ripe and magnificently delicious cantaloupe. Taking a day off work and going to face the heat of the day on the golf course. Son has a 10:00 dentist appointment, so I figure we won’t be able to play until after 1:00 sometime. Don’t have a tee time, but I don’t think getting on a course will be a problem today🥵.
